Well! This is what you would do when your connection flight is 3 hours delayed 😕
There was a war. A really intense war of emotions but not between their hearts. It was a war between their own heart and their own brain. Their heart said something. Their brain said something else. And our poor souls were just dealing with their confusing emotions, trying as hard to make sure they can control their heart and listen to their brain itself.
When they first saw eachother, they had tears. Their heart just wanted them to run into eachother, hug eachother and forget all the miseries and be together forever. While their brain instructed them to not and put a facade on their faces as if they didnt matter to eachother.
Yes! Avni is angry but her heart still doesnt allow her to NOT love him or to doubt him. Thats why the poor girl ends up reminding herself that bitter day and convincing herself that LOVE doesnt exist.
Yes! Neil even though she is angry, wishes to go to her, hug her, kiss her and take all of her pain away, the pain that he has inflicted on her. But he cannot. He cannot until he proves she is innocent. He is convincing himself to just be strong and put all his efforts in proving her innocent. He is punishing himself the same way Avni is suffering. Whether its sleeping on the floor or eating the food she has to eat or being away from the loved ones.
And this is why i feel there was nothing lacking in today's confrontation. These were just so busy fighting their own heart and their feelings, that they could barely manage to put up that facade of indifference to one another. Avni's greatest self protection weapon when it comes to not showing emotions is ignorance. She will only show it when she is pushed to her limits. Like for example, the Zehenaseeb sequence or even today. Until and unless Neil didnt mention on how she wont get special treatment on being his wife, she finally breaks her trance of ignorance, comes out of it and tells what she felt. Yes! Neil was hurt. And he would have reacted then too. But he didnt. Coz he realizes himself that he is the reason of what she is saying right now and no matter how much he and his heart wants to apologize, he cannot until he is done proving her innocent.
And also, I do feel not only Neil, but Avni herself is also responsible for the condition that she is in right now. Her impulsiveness did cost a lot. Yes, Neil hiding it is not helping at all and is making things worse for her. But for whatever Avni is going through right now, its both in their together. As I mentioned earlier, its not just Avni who is suffering right now. He is suffering as well and he is punishing himself the same way Avni is being punished. And today's confrontation felt very real to me.
