As Christmas is soon, I wanted to write an OS on how Kanak and Uma would celebrate it, I hope I have done it justice.
"Kanak can I remove this blindfold now"
"Ntt, youre so impatient just one second "
Kanak clapped her hands happily
"Okay, now"
Uma removed the blindfold to see their room decked in fairy lights
A small christmas tree sat in the corner and Kanak stood at the other end of the room
Tinsel on her neck, her eyes more colourful in the bright lights
Walking over to him she pulled a hat over his head
"Merry Christmas Uma"
Kissing him on the cheek he stood up
"I know we dont celebrate it, but I thought it would be nice to just this once"
Uma was delighted at how happy Kanak was
"Wait , let me just get your present"
Kanak held out a beautifully wrapped present with a green bow around it
Uma pulled it open, looking down at the framed picture of them he held it up
At the bottom of the photo read 'taking an image, freezing a moment, reveals how rich reality truly is'
Uma placed the photo on the bed, standing up he reached into his pocket and pulled mistletoe out
Holding it above them, she looked up
"Traditions are traditions"
Leaning down he took her lips in a soaring kiss, crashing her body to his he picked her up with one arm and span her around as she laughed
"Isnt it beautiful "
Muttered Kanak as she jumped in the snow
Uma still couldnt take his eyes off her "Yes, it is beautiful"
Kanak laughed "Not me, I mean here, the place we chose for our honeymoon"
Uma shrugged "It wouldnt be if you werent here"
Kanak couldn't help but blush at his cheesy line
Kanak knelt down, grabbing some snow she threw it at him and ran
Wiping his face he ran after her, picking her up she giggled as he dropped her in the snow
"Not so fun now"
Kanak blinked fast "Uma , my leg I"
Uma shook his head "Nope, im not falling for that"
Kanak's eyes welled with tears "Uma please"
Seeing her eyes tear up, he held his hand out as she grabbed it and yanked him down
Climbing on top of him she pressed a kiss to his cold nose
"I love you"
Uma smiled at the flakes of snow in her hair, twirling it around his finger he smiled
"I love you to Kanak"
Pulling her close , she could hear him singing under his breath
"All I want for christmas is you"
Smiling she snuggled into him
Her husband was always a surprise, she wouldnt question how he knew the song for fear of not hearing him sing again
With all the trials and tribulations, Kanak had learnt, there was nothing Uma would not do to see her happy
Her only wish, that she made him as happy as he made her
