Uff! Can't you see the epic masterstroke here? Mata ji ka dil itna bada hai ki she saved a guy who insulted her. What did Hiten do for her? Usne kabhi moti/saand bola? Nahi na. He always respected her. Then how does it make sense to save Hiten?

Log kehte hai Shilpa dil se khelti hai par uske liye dil ka hona bhi zaruri hai. Woh sirf logon ke dilon se khelti hai. No value for anyones emotions.
