I am yet to see last night's episode but I have to agree Aditi is really a treat to watch! I was always impressed with her emotional and romantic scenes but her action scenes from Monday were mind-blowing! It was almost empowering to see her kick butt! So effing refreshing seeing a FL on ITV who is a badass in the true sense!
I don't frequent this place or twitter too much because there is A LOT of speculation (i don't mind discussing the future tracks but negatively speculating about each and every article or rumour is too much) and I dunno how you do this but I find it super off-putting. Anyhow, like you said I don't see the promo playing out exactly as it's shown simply because that never happens in NK.
Avni will be getting arrested yes but I don't see her getting arrested for Juhi's murder. I see her getting arrested for either attempt to murder of either Juhi or Vidyut's minion, I forgot his name lol or she could get arrested for conspiring to kidnap a child. I can see why Neil will be mad at her because he has always maintained that she SHOULD NOT take the law in her hands. But Avni's wounds run deeper, she sees herself in this child and I don't find it too hard to understand her perspective or why she would fight for this kid.
Her actions may not be legal but her intentions are good, that for me isn't character butchering. She has and she will always go out of her way and take risks for the people she loves. She did it when Ali was supposedly killed by RP and she's doing it now for Mishti...it's not 'mahanta' it's her basic character trait. Her impulsiveness is a flaw but then isn't that wat makes AvNeil's journey all the more real? They display humanly flaws and make mistakes only to learn from them and grow as a couple.
I don't think Avni will believe she has killed Juhi because a) that's ridiculous and b) that leaves Vidyut with no purpose to serve post leap. I believe AvNeil and Neela will know that Avni has been framed by Vidyut and each of them will try to expose him in their own ways.
My concern currently isn't any of that though. All I want to know is WTH are the editors doing and why on earth are the writers and creative director bearing the brunt of it all while the editors are getting away with choppy episodes, poor sound quality and out of sync dialogues? The episode on Monday was extremely choppy and led to a lot of confusion and bashing simply because no one really understood who did wat!?
Secondly, I find the character sketch of the both Vidyut and Juhi extremely underwhelming. And I would really appreciate your guys' thoughts on this. I feel like Vidyut as a character started off strong but somehow the writers have lost track. Just like Juhi, they can't decide if they want him negative or grey and I find that annoying. NK always stood out to me for having meaningful and logical side roles...but the writers off late have given us very fickle side roles.
It's understandable with Juhi...there was a lot of backlash from fans and the actress didn't help with her poor acting skills so they took the easier route of painting her negative (it was illogical nonetheless). But Karam has so much potential, I really wish his character sketch wasn't so fickle off-late.
To sum it up, I don't mean any offence and I think viewers should have a say about their likes and dislikes but I have seen too much intrusion kill characters and shows. I wish more people would encourage SOME creative freedom. There are shows in other countries that are pre-shot and although not all of them are great, there are some exceptionally fantastic gems out there and I personally feel it has a lot to do with the audience not having control of the storyline and the writer having the ability to tell HIS or HER story.
This is really long, my apologies but I have no other place to discuss (and vent) lol.
