Rani also spoke about the lukewarm response that husband's directorial venture, Befikre got. She said that she loved the film. "I loved Befikre, but it was hard for Aditya Chopra to see failure, said Rani. Rani also spoke about how Aditya Chopra dealt with failure for the first time in his life.
Vaani Kapoor and Ranveer Singh starrer Befikre was Aditya Chopra's first directorial venture without Shah Rukh Khan. After the film's debacle, Vaani had partially accepted the blame and had said, "I know that the film has got polarised reviews. It will get its due in the coming years. I have always felt that I was the biggest risk factor and the biggest bet for 'Befikre' because everyone else in the team had achieved something and have already proven their worth in their respective fields. I was the new face who stood a chance to be accepted or not.
