What a year for NM-SC...what a journey...and so much seems to have come full circle tonight with the ULTIMATE Clean Sweep at the AVTAs👏👏👏

First off, BIG congrats to NM for clean sweeping pretty much every best actor award this year...SO well deserved...more power to you for playing Shivaay to such perfection and evolving wonderfully over the course of this IB journey👏👏

But today, I must post a special note for the girl who made me watch this show...the one and only Ms. Surbhi Chandna...HOW much we've waited for this day when her talent FINALLY gets due recognition...it's been a slow build up, much like Shivika's journey, now that I think about it😆...with plenty of high and lows...complete with drag, disappointments and finally this high of satisfaction...

First came the SPAs in April...where she got her first set of recognition...three awards, including a best jodi...HOW happy we were for them getting their due that night...

I thought that might be it for the year...we couldn't possibly keep getting so lucky...lol then came the Gold Awards...another best jodi award, another best actor for NM👏👏

But Best Actress still seemed to elude Surbhi...so a little disappointment lingered...

Then came the ITAs...another well deserved best actor for NM...hope soared again that SC may FINALLY get her due...alas, we were to be disappointed...but these two still found a way to merrily dance the night away and lift our spirits😆😆

They'd have added another best jodi to their shelves there if only the category was included😛

Never mind, we moved on to SBS ...who decided to have their own awards this year and who else to win the best jodi but these two lovable goofballs again?

So we had a whole year of best jodi awards and best actor awards clean sweep...even added a best show for IB at the ITAs...only thing that still pinched was a lack of recognition for SC as best actress.

Until today...FINALLY that day is here...where this girl gets recognition for the FINE actress she is...today felt like the culmination of a long journey and a fitting answer to all the detractors who judged her for all manner of things...from claiming she can't win anything unless it's in conjunction with NM, or attempting to put her down for everything from her skin color to her weight...today this due recognition shuts all that up.

Here's to the girl who had that inexplicable hatke spark to her from day one...here's to the girl who redefined the cliched "bubbly girl" trope on TV for me...here's to the girl with the lovely voice who blows me away everytime with her FANTASTIC voice modulation👏👏...here's to the girl who redefines what it means to be CONFIDENT without being obnoxious about it...here's to the girl who plays that "comfortable in her own skin" aspect to Anika so effortlessly naturally...here's to the girl with an unbelievably big heart and sweetness to her...come to think of it, in many ways, the way Shivaay defined Anika fits SC too...this beautiful, kind, WONDERFULLY WEIRD girl that she is😆😆

And here's to the duo that have carried Ishqbaaz on their shoulders proudly throughout this journey. People can continue to come up with their own spins, but for me, these two are the heart and soul, and the BRAND of this show that have nurtured it to this point so wonderfully...

What a way to clean sweep 2017👏👏👏...this year belongs to these two through and through and IB through them :) Whatever tomorrow may bring...the wonderful story we've lived with Shivika and this due recognition through the accolades they'v received makes for a very complete journey :)

I'm one satisfied and proud fan today :)

Flawless expressions.. Perfect voice modulation.. Amazing grasp on the character...A natural actor who is ready to learn and evolve... You are the reason why Anika is what she is KHIDKITOD...

One of the sweetest person I have seen offscreen.. Your smile lights up every IV.. Your harkatein spice up every IV.. Your adyein make every moment joyful... You bring masti.. You are all hearts.. The biggest compliment from me to you - You remind me of Vidya Balan.. I see that spark in you! 😊 Pakka wala fan here! 😊

NM - You are ❤️!! A Rockstar off and on-screen.. Never expected to care about a 'AYM' character but you made the impossible possible.. In love with almost all shades of Billu.. and actually adore all shades of NM! 😊 And Uff your Kanji eyes - they are an artist's dreams..😳 Only You and your portrayal of Billu got me into writing poetry, essays and even letters for a fictional characters..😳😆😆 I really admire that you are always looking to improve.. take it a notch higher...😊 and off-screen toh you are a gem! NM, you have hamesha wala fan here! 😳

Narbhi - Whenever NM-SC are together... their interactions are bound to touch to your heart.. Their antics will make me smile.. will make you say aww.. will make you define 'GOALs', will make you LOL.. Perfect co-stars *touch-wood* Selfless sorted individuals passionate about their work..👏👏 There is a lot we can learn from you guys! Never ever change.. THANK YOU! 😊

Shivaay-Anika - On the surface, a 'cliched' pair.. with 'cliched' moments as some might say.. but sooo sooo soo HATKE... You have got to watch their journey to believe it.. Highs-Lows.. Ups-Downs.. Happiness-Sadness..Masti-Angst... Heart-Mind... There is soo much to discuss.. so much to care about..

2017 is your year and you deserve every single compliment.. every award.. every appreciation tweet.. every thread.. every cake.. every comment on your chat.. every like...😊 Thank You for breathing life in Shivaay-Anika.. and making this a memorable journey...

I can guarantee that a few year from now, when I will turn back and look at IB's/Shivaay-Anika's or NM-SC's journey... It will only make me SMILE... It is ever-green.. My happy pill😊

Word to everything you said, AY. Have to say...I especially feel happy for Surbhi. This feels weird but i feel...vindicated on her behalf. Makes me feel like a proud momma to see her finally get recognised 😭😆

And apna NM ke liye bhi really thrilled as always😳...frankly I am elated for the two of them. They work their a**e* off, and delineate a dynamic onscreen which not many can pull off. Many a time it is they who have made me stick around with their nuanced performances when the plot went absolutely haywire.

I have been on this forum from the beginning, so when i see this array of awards, I feel extremely happy. Because I have seen some pretty unpleasant and unpalatable words used about them from the beginning. So yeah.

Seeing all this validation for their work makes me feel a combination of exhilaration and vindication. All in all...i am feeling as smug as a cat right now 🤣

Word to everything you said, Amri! Those of us who've been here since the early days know VERY well all that NM and SC and ESPECIALLY SC have overcome in terms of how they were put down...well...as they say...sau sunaar ki, ek lauhaar ki :P

WORD on them working their butts off to nurture Shivika and taking them to a whole another level beyond the words on paper...to me, these two are my longest reason for sticking with this show cuz I've hardly ever stuck with a show for this long😆

We are all proud mommas today...bacchas made us so so SO proud👏👏...I can't remember the last time a pair clean swept the award season like this...do you? And what makes it sweeter is the sheer GRACE with which they handle every accolade...that just makes me adore them more.

Even today, in her speech, you could tell that SC was far more floored by how much the award meant to all the fans who had hoped and prayed and voted so much for both her and NM...that was just so sweet to watch.

Oh boy I could recognize that thread...thank you for creating another one and reinforcing that there is a difference in a regular AT and this one dedicated to the accolades won for all the dedication, hard work and sincerity of the actors...

OK...I am grinning ear to ear and I havent stopped...😊 only if emoticons could express what i feel...😆 Meri SC ko award mila...muaaah to her...

Firstly I must admit, I never thought I would feel like this for a show and its actors...But NM & SC have done something man...they made me fall in love with the show, made me literally STICK to this show at times when there was nothing worth to look forward to with reference to the story...

And the best part, I am equally in love with both coz both have excelled in their art...👏

Word on everything you have said...whattay a journey as characters and actors...And their offscreen persona makes me LOVE THEM MORE...

SC i always believed was meant to do this...she is freakin sooo effortlessly NATURAL, her comic timing, her expressions, her intonation, emotional scenes...she is FABULOUS...👏

NM is definitely very crafty, and has evolved greatly as an actor👏 and he has consistently maintained the finesse of SSO👏

Wishing them pot loads of success and happiness in personal and professional lives🤗

just had a glimpse of AVTA...Black certainly enhances his persona...he looked dapper...I would have loved to see Surbhi by his side...😊

Again! Super chuffed about Nakuul and Surbhi's individual wins! A little bit extra for Surbhi cos appreciation denied/delayed makes it that much sweeter. As much as I love that NM's swept the awards this year, SC deserves the recognition as well cos she's the yin to his yang on the show.

Awww WORD to the bold, Manisha! So true...I never thought I'd feel this attached to a set of actors too but these two are a class apart, truly!

SC is the epitome of spontaneous and natural talent...while NM is the perfect compliment to her with the method in his madness...together they create this amazing potpourri that we all love!
