Heart beat...Dil ki dhadkan...
This is an OS I wrote on my dearest friend Piyali's concept.Hope I did'nt spoil your concept Piyali.
A college reunion function...
Siddhanth entered the college...he remembered his college days...his friends.
His eyes got wet:Those days were so beautiful.Things became worst because of me.
Prem got down from his car and looked at the college building remembering the college days.He became emotional.
Prem:Wish I had approached life differently.Otherwise I would not have lost anything.
Simar entered the college painfully:Why did this happen with us?
Roli got down from her car and looked at the college buildingwith a weeping heart:This world is fake.I should have identified fakeness earlier.But i was a fool.
All four bumped into each other with a shock.
Before they could speak their Principal came near them.
Princi:I am happy that you are all are back...the members of the famous singing band 'Heartbeat'.You people were the heart beat of the college.When you guys left the college the college's heart stopped beating.I enquired about you all.I was shocked to know that Roli stopped singing.
Roli:Yes Sir.Because of singing only I lost everything.I work in a call centre.There I am so busy that I have no time for anything else.
Princi:And Prem..why did you stop singing?
Prem:I too lost everything because of music.So I got detached from singing.I am into family business now.
Princi:But as far as I know you are not interested in business.
Prem:But sometimes we are forced to do what we don't link to live our life.
Princi:Siddanth...you..?
Sid:I too left music Sir.
Sid said in his mind:I left music to punish myself for breaking Roli's heart.
Simar:I am still a part of a music troupe.But music does'nt give me any happiness now.
Princi:You all lived for music...breathed music.But left music for stupid reasons.Strange.I invited you all specially for the reunion function to tell you all to form the music band again..yes Heartbeats has to reproduced to perform for our college anniversary function.
They:But it's not possible.We can't be together again.
Princi:Though you all have passed out still I am your principal.Will you guys disobey me?Don't you have any responsibility towards your own college?Don't take any hasty decision.Think well and inform me your decision.
The Principal walked away.
Sid,Prem,Simar and Roli looked at each other.
Flash back...

Prem:The show went well.
Simar:Yes..we rocked.

Roli looked at Sid with a gloomy face.
Simar:What did Roli do?Roli had performed well.
Sid:Roli...you are always nervous on stage.You are too shy and introvert to perform on stage.If you don't get rid of stage fear it will affect our music band.
Roli became upset.
Prem:Sid..you are over reacting.You have problem with Roli's shy nature.But don't say that it affects our band.Roli is the best singer we have.
Roli was relieved.
Sid:I know that you will support Roli.
Prem smiled.
Another day...
Prem was practising guitar.Simar looked at him with a sweet smile.Roli noticed it with a smile.
She thought:Guess Simar loves Prem.
Simar:Prem is so good at playing guitar.He looks stylish too with guitar in his hands.
Simar took his photograph secretly.
Simar:Prem..when will you understand my love?
Sid stood near Simar and asked her with a mischievous smile:Why can't you take your eyes off Prem?
Simar blushed.
Sid:When are you going to confess your love to Prem?
Simar was shy:On the last day of our college.
Sid:Cool.All the best.
Sid gave her a side hug.Simar smiled.
Roli was playing Sitar and singing.Prem was lost in her.He was staring at her without her knowledge.Sid noticed Prem staring at Roli.He went near Prem.
Sid:Prem...
Prem:So beautiful.
Sid:What?
Prem:Roli is so beautiful.
Sid:What?
Prem realized what he said and got embarrassed:I mean Roli's voice.
Sid:You tell me the truth Prem.You always support Roli.I have felt that you have soft corner for Roli.Now seeing you looking at Roli I feel that you consider Roli more than a friend.
Prem blushed:You are right Sid.I think I love Roli.
Sid was shocked.He remembered Simar's love for Prem.
Sid thought:Prem and Simar are my friends.But Simar is my dearest friend as she is my best friend since childhood.She is more like a sister to me.I can't see Simar in tears.If she comes to know that Prem loves Roli she will be heart broken.She should not lose her love because of Roli.I will not let it happen.
Roli was walking on the road.A small boy gave her a flower bouquet.
Roli:Why are you giving this to me?
He:One bhaiyya asked me to hand over this to you didi.
He ran away.
Roli:Who is that guy?
Roli walked.One lady gave her a flower bouquet:One guy told me to give you this.
Roli was stunned.
Roli:Aunty..please tell me who he is.But I know that he loves you very much.
She:I don't know.
She walked away.
Roli walked thinking:How will I know who is giving me this?Who is loving me secretly.
Suddenly she heard a voice from behind.
"Turn back and see who loves you secretly".
Roli turned back.She saw a guy whose face was covered with a flower bouquet.
He gave her the flower bouquet unveiling his face.Roli was shocked to see his face.It was Siddhanth.
Roli:Sid!You?
Sid:Yes Roli.I am the one who loved you secretly.But I decided to reveal my love to you.I can't hide my love anymore.
Roli could'nt believe it:But you always shouted at me...fought with me.
You really love me?Unbelievable.
Roli:No Sid.I am not that type.I don't like this.
Sid became dull.He thought:This Roli is so shy and introvert that she can't even fall in love.Stupid girl.
Sid:Don't say like that.Don't break my heart.Please...
Roli walked away ignoring him.
Sid was adamant about making Roli fall in love with him.
Sid:No Roli.You can't just ignore me.You have to love me.Only then Prem will stop loving you as Prem will never love his best friend Siddhanth's beloved.Then Simar's path will be clear and she will get her Prem.
Siddhanth walked behind Roli with gifts daily.But Roli ignored him silently.

Roli was shocked.She ran towards him and held him from falling.
Roli:Sid...open your eyes..are you ok?
Sid murmured:If I am ok or not how does it bother you?You don't love me.Right?
Roli was in tears:No Sid..I love you.
Suddenly Sid opened his eyes in excitement:What did you say?
Roli smiled tearfully:You are fine?
Sid:Hearing what you said I became fine.Tell me again what you said.
Roli blushed:I love you Sid.
He pulled her closer:I love you too roli.
She blushed.
Sid embraced her smiling.
Sid smirked saying in his mind:Now I have trapped you in my love.Now no one can stop Simar from getting her Prem.
Without knowing Sid's intention Roli felt safe in Sid's arms.
After a few days...
Sid Roli appeared before Prem Simar holding hands together.
Prem Simar found it strange.
Sid:We are here to say that Roli and I are a couple now.We are seeing each other.
Simar was surprised while Prem was shocked.
Prem:Is it true Roli?
Roli blushed:Yes we both are in a relationship.
Prem was shattered.Simar hugged Sid and Roli.
Simar:I am so happy for you guys.But still I can't believe that you both are lovers.Seeing the way Sid was fighting with Roli..it was an unexpected surprise.

Sid Roli smiled.Prem walked away hiding his tears.Sid followed him.

Sid was thinking of Roli the whole night.He smiled:While doing love drama with Roli I think I really fell in love with Roli.Oh my God!
Simar was dreaming of Prem.
Simar:I can't wait till the end of the college to confess my love to Prem.Tomorrow itself I will propose him.
The next day...
Simar knelt down before Prem with flower bouquet:I love you Prem.I have been loving you since a long time.Now I am opening my heart before you.Will you be with me forever?
Prem was shocked.
Prem:How could you do this Simar?I never thought that you will ruin our friendship by this stupid love.You betrayed our friendship by falling in love with me.
Simar was shocked.Her heart was wounded.Her eyes got wet.

Prem:Never.I never saw you that way.In fact I was in love with Roli.But she loves only Sid.

Prem was silent.He realized what he burst out in a moment of anger.

But i can't forget that you love me ruining our pure friendship.
Simar:Stop it Prem.Don't insult my love.If you can love Roli by forgetting Roli's friendship why can't I love you?Love just happens Prem.It is not in our hands.I never forgot our friendship while falling in love with you Prem.I respect our friendship.That's why I fell for you.How dare you say that my love ruined our friendship?You insulted me by insulting my love Prem.
Prem felt guilty:Simar...
Simar cried:Don't say anything.I realized that you don't even like to see my face.So I am leaving this college itself.So that we will never have to face each other.

Simar ran out crying.
Simar left the college.Siddhanth got angry and confronted Prem.He pulled Prem's collar of the shirt angrily:How dare you hurt Simar?Because of you only Simar's heart broke.Because of you only she left college.
Prem:I am sorry Sid.I did a mistake by overreacting.I was rude to Simar.I should have rejected her politely.
Sid:Rejected her?Why did you reject a nice girl like Simar?You know that Roli can never be yours.Still you rejected Simar.Why prem?What did I not do to unite you and Simar?Knowing that Roli will be an obstacle in Simar's love for you I faked love to Roli and made her my girl friend just to make you forget Roli and move on with Simar.Still you rejected Simar?

Sid realized what he revealed in a moment of frustration.Suddenly they both saw Roli standing there shocked.Her eyes were full of tears.Both were finding it difficult to face Roli.
Roli:My love for you was true Sid.But you broke my trust.You are so fake.
Sid became upset:Roli...please listen...
Roli:I don't want to hear anything.If it was some other girl in my place she would have slapped you knowing your betrayal.But i can't slap you as I love you sincerely.You can say that I am nervous or shy or whatever.But I am not strong enough to slap my lover.
Roli's tears rolled down her cheeks.Sid became upset.
Sid:I admit that I was faking love.But trust me Roli.In between unknowingly i fell in love with you.I really love you.I beg of you.Please believe me.
Roli:I don't want to hear anything Sid.I won't believe you again.I don't want to break my heart again believing you again.
Sid became upset.
Roli stared at Prem:I have seen love in Simar's eyes for you.You did'nt do right by hurting Simar who loves you truly.Atleast you should not have insulted you.
Prem became upset:Yes I admit.I was wrong.I am willing to correct my mistake.
Roli:What's the use of correcting your mistake now?It's too late now.You know...you both do not deserve love.Not worth enough..
Roli ran away crying.Prem and Sid were in tears.Roli stopped talking to Prem and Sid till the college got over.All the friends parted silently..without even biding good bye.
Present...
Prem,Siddhanth,Roli and Simar thought a lot about the Principal.
Simar:I think we should be grateful to our college and the Principal who supported us a lot.So we should obey him.
Prem:Yes right.We should sing together.
Sid:Yes for the anniversary function we should revive our musical band 'Heart beat'.
Roli:Yes..only for the anniversary function 'Heart beat' should be made alive.After the programme 'Heart beat' will be no more .
They all nodded painfully.
They informed the Principal about their decision and he was very happy.
All 4 of them practiced together for the function.
Anniversary function...
Prem,Sid,Roli,Simar appeared on stage.They sang together.
All were enjoying a lot.They were clapping and jumping shouting:Heart beat...Heart beat...cheer up Heart beat...
After the performance people were hugging and carrying 4 of them excitedly.
Back stage...
All 4 of them packed bags to go back.
Sid broke the silence between them.
Sid:Roli...did you decide to go back leaving our band?
Roli:Yes.We joined together only for this show and the show is over.Now why should we stick together?
Simar:There is no purpose for which we all should be together.
Prem:For the sake of friendship can't we keep our band 'Heart beat' ?
Simar:For which friendship Prem?Our friendship was broken years back.
Prem:Can't we be friends again?
Sid:Can't we forget our bitter past and start fresh?
All 4 of them looked at each other emotionally.
Prem:We all got separated because of me and Sid.But trust us.We realized our mistakes.
Sid:Can't you both give us one more chance?
Simar Roli were silent.
Prem:Simar...I hurt you.That day itself I wanted to say sorry 100 times to you.But without hearing it you just left.But now I am saying what i could'nt say that day.I am really sorry for that.Please forgive me Simar.
Simar looked at him tearfully:Prem!

Prem and Sid turned back.Roli and Simar were smiling at them with tears in their eyes.
