check the ones before NK. There was two ivs where he show them his house. In one of them he mentioned he doesn't drink.

As per Gulfam, the sheesha (hookah) they are taking is a free tobacco one (it doesn't have tobacco)




Nevertheless I wasn't totally convinced that it wouldn't be harmful, I mean how come when smoke comes out of your mouth, it's ok???!!! At least it is not for me, so I went and I made my own research, I came across a study, In this study toxicant yields from waterpipes smoked using conventional tobacco-based and tobacco-free preparations (for "health conscious users") were compared.

Conclusion is : "In sum, the fact that smoke from a non-tobacco waterpipe preparation yields near identical amounts of CO (carbon monoxide), PAH (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons), and VA (volatile aldehydes) suggests that advertising depicting that the product provides "the same flavorful smoke found in other shisha without the harmful effects of tobacco (www.texashookah.com/soex.html) is, at best, misleading. These results, taken together with others addressing the tar and nicotine content of waterpipe tobacco smoke (Nakkash & Khalil, 2010; Vansickel et al., 2011) should be used to support much-needed regulation of labeling for all waterpipe products."


What I understood from the study is that despite the tobacco free waterpipe having no nicotine toxicant in it (nicotine is a toxic substance in Tobacco) the amount of other toxicants like carbone monoxide and some other toxicants are not different from the ones generated by tobacco waterpipe because these other toxicants come from the heating with charcoal which is used in both free tobacco waterpipes and tobacco waterpipes

So maybe Zain, Gulfam and others think that smoking tobacco free waterpipes isn't harmful but it is still very harmful, if it doesn't create the dependence nicotine does, it still generates many toxicants which are very harmful for health!

Anyways I don't know much about these things as neither I'm an expert in those studies nor a user of these things, so if I might have gotten something wrong, but the thing I'm sure of, is both are harmful!

@Arshifan thanks for the detailed info. I m not judging Zain but I love him and care for him. So I was concerned about his health. Its not just Zain in real life I keep telling my friends to stop smoking too cause I know its harmful and I care for them. Thats a different thing they don't listen ever.😆That's why all this discussion. And I agree it's his personal life and his wish. As a concerned fan we were just saying. I m not gonna force him and comment on his social media to quit smoking and I don't think his smoking would make me love him less😆. But yes all this surely making me worry about his health in the long run

I felt bad as well when I saw that pipe in the recent pictures, but the problem here is that they think that the tobacco free waterpipe isn't harmful just because it doesn't have tobacco while in reality there are many other toxic substances, this is a misconception of them and it's a dangerous misconception actually, yes there won't be dependence I guess like the one nicotine generates but the toxicants can cause a huge harm to them. As per the same study (based I guess on other studies as well):

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) cause cancer, volatile aldehydes (VA) cause lung disease, carbon monoxide (CO) contributes to cardiovascular disease!

I think they really need to know, because when u do something and u know it's harmful it's your choice, but if you do it and you don't even know and u are under the misconeption it's not then it's really sad.

But obviously I don't know how much they exactly know, I just based my opinion on Gulfam's reply on instagram when she said it's a non tobacco one.
