Some feel that he doesn't do anything and has no spine,he doesn't need to take any stand.When u try to look at the bigger picture,this definitely pays him off.He was on the verge of becoming the captain last week had Vikas not changed his mind.Today as well he will be well supported by the housemates.He has the backing of both the groups in the house and has successfully moved ahead in the game.Whether he takes stands or not,he is definitely playing a smart game.Positives he gets from this game

Escapes nominations time and again.
He is looking the sanest of all irrespective of his stands.Vikas is also well behaved,but the thing which distinguishes them is Vikas in the process of taking stands tends to make mistakes which does look to hamper his sanity.
Gets footage from both the groups especially arshi.
No jail punishments.

I don't know whether it's genuine or not but hats off to him,he has achieved everything till now and should be treated as one of the smartest players.

He has been to jail once because Acash was disappointed that he of all people cheated in rocket task. Haha...

But other than that, agree with you. He is good with both groups. Some think of this as no backbone but what's the point of supporting any one side when both are being crass? He is the only one whoe understands that the game is only for 3 months and then they all have to go work in the real world. It's pointless to damage 17+ years' worth of good reputation for that.

I think he is partly playing a game but is also genuine as well. He is genuinely patient in real life and has had zero professional or personal controversies in his 2 decade long career so all that experience is working to his benefit in playing the game. Ability to get ahead without being involved in controversies...

i agree he is the sanest of all...the reason why he escapes nominations and seldom takes a stand is because he follows a simple policy: He will never intevene in a fight or take a stand, if he does not know what the actual cause of the fight was...vikas,on the other hand, somehow arrives at that place right when an arguement or any bitching is going on..so he knows who is right and who is wrong or who initiated the fight..so it becomes easy for him to pass judgements and take a stand...hiten only tries to stop the fight or other contestants from getting physical..which is commendable...

The fact that he enjoys arshi's flirting is because he has been convinced by salman and celeb guests that the flirting is all healthy and is coming across as a pure fun element outside the house among the audience..so he is chilled out..he never flirts with arshi, neither does he compliments her adaayein or dressing style or whatever..he just smiles shyly when the housemates call him jamai or link him with arshi...he has never been disrespectful to any woman, neither has he touched anyone inappropriately..

people accuse him of doing chugalkhori and every housemate does that and it is a human quality..so this is not a big deal..every other housemate is insecured about his sanity and strong fan base and nobody can take it when he get all the praises from salman for being honest and dignified, sorted out person..so ppl bitch about him on his back but talk to him fin a friendly manner on his face...

these are the qualities that distinguishes him from other insane housemates...he will definietly be in top 3...hats off to hiten and I love him a lot...

I have loved him since the Kutumb days 😳 and I'm supporting him along with Shilpa! Hiten's performance so far is commendable 👏 and my love and respect for him has increased tenfolds!

Forget women, he has not been disrespectful to even the men of the house. He always speaks to them in a dignified manner. Even when he was telling Akash off, it did not sound disrespectful, just firm.

The Arshi element, he does not "enjoy" it but he is sporty about it because Sallu and other guests have said it comes off as innocent flirting. He has two options...

1. Ask Arshi to stop it: He may come across as unsporting about something this innocent to outside viewers. Also, knowing Arshi what if she thinks that him asking her to stop all this means he is calling her characterless. Then, she will start yelling him and insulting him as she has been doing with other HMs. So why get himself insulted through gaali galoch?

2. Ergo, be sporty about it: This is, therefore, the only option that is logical. Laughing it off makes him seem sporty but by playfully calling her nagin or saying Arshi meri behen hai, he comes off as fun-loving and non-desperate.

I am not a Hiten fan but i have to admit that it is actually hard to dislike this person. The patience he has is commendable!
He has generally been nice to everyone and stayed out of all the fights and controversies till now and has still been relevant which is such a rare thing in BB.

And even if he talks to both group and does little bit 'chugli' as people say I don't think it's wrong. If he's playing it clean using this strategy, what's the harm?

seriously i love hiten too.. He's a decent guy and I feel whatever he is doing is right.
