^ This is so true, this is probably the first time since learning about Mishti where Neil actually broke down and told Avni his fears of losing her. Neil is a wreck, he has held it together all this time but now he is reaching his breaking point. Neil cannot fathom losing Avni and I love that she is being his strength through this. Avni knows exactly what to say to put Neil's mind at ease, it is just like he knows what to say to her. The role reversal is beautiful to watch unfold, they are each others equals

The kitchen scene is just an example. Neil has comforted Avni multiple times like when once Avni had a nightmare, she became emotional when Ashish's room was unlocked and then when she read his letter. But Avni get very less chance to do so as Neil rarely displays his weakness
