I think Shiv is probably having an out of body experience. This is a very popular concept in many HW movies like If I stay. He is probably alive somewhere, may be in coma but somehow he has got this chance of slipping his soul out of the physical body and sort out the past. This is what seems the best explanation to me because as of now Shiv has supernatural powers but at the same time he has humanly restrictions as well.
its a very common concept in asian dramas and movies as well. if so then it will be pretty obvious that vyom will be the villian.but does the wondering soul has these kind of supernatual powers. i dont remember any. they basically just roam around and will be visible only to the main lead.
