EDT~ep 19, 16 11.17, My stance~ be laughing up one's sleeve..
Laughter expresses one's amusement. However one's laugh in itself , can give clues to specific emotions one feels, sarcasm, derision, teasing or just having plain fun! One laughing in company shows social skills. One laughing at people carries undertones of satire or making fun off.. and one laughing up one's sleeve is all about having a hidden laugh at someone else!! Today's episode, for me is also about some characters attempts to cover up certain strange undertones, by making light of them. Turning grave incidents into funny scenarios..
Coming apart of a freshly administered suture , can create alarm and call for immediate medical attention. But the reason for the bled is dismissed away lightly by Rajan ,that his son must have laughed his guts out! While others including Sharanya looks worried sick! Vyom too gets a cue from his father and decides to do his own tongue in cheek bit on the side!
All in jest! laughing up his sleeve, But enough to frighten Sharanya! Vyom blames her close proximity as being the cause of his laughter! She splits his sombre side , and he comes out in mirth!! The doctor advises care and rest. Vyom equates both with Sharanya's presence beside him! she is his medication for recovery! Rajan backs his son, reiterates to all that the best treatment for Vyom is Sharanya therapy! The whole scene is yet another justification Vyom's gives to his family ,but more so to Sharanya that, her presence for him is not just a pretty face around him, but that her love heals him! Vyom may well be, giving his mother Madhvi a message too, that if she wants her son well , then grant Sharanya beside him, as his need.
Bedi's joint family may gives outsiders the impression of all is good.. but really it's a cover up, all the polite smiles and decorum but underneath there is plotting in the corridors .Kamini pointedly spares no moment to sneer at Vyom's ill luck , as she sees it. I suspect she would have her son as the heir in place of Vyom.. this is the down side of being dirty rich. money can become the bone of contention. Sharanya s brother Aditiya continues to be unimpressed by Sharanya mother . But his mother convinces him that most mothers begin to feel insecure about sharing their son with his wife! it 's quite common. It seems that Vyom's two year wait for Sharanya is now being drummed into Aditiya's mind by his parents, to convince him that Vyom and Sharanya are meant for each other.
His earlier romantic passes at her, appear to have paid off. His head rested against the head board, his mind is at rest , after following the provocations of his heart! She worries about him! even shows signs of insecurity about losing him!! he flirts again to test the waters, if she was put off by his rather bold passes? He deliberately invokes her feminine bashfulness by reminding her she was frightened when he came near to steal a kiss off her! Sharanya denies with a girly giggle... he watches her with narrowed eyes.. without a doubt she is falling for him.. her body language says so! But Sharanya too shows faith in him, by hinting he wouldn't have kissed her.. she didn't expect him to, as he is more of a sober simpleton harmless guy! Vyom is now assured his actions were not taken the way he intended them to be.. the girl trusts him! yet he must keep up with the skill of not letting her know that he is actually working at making her fall for him! Vyom flirts with her again, would she like him to show her his bad boy image? if he humours her ,then Sharanya tells him she can defend herself by karate! He laughs, has she defended herself against a mosquito?? Like a mosquito he hovers around her! try though she may to swat him! but being evasive, she misses him time and again! Sharanya is at a loss to figure out the true nature of Vyom! for Vyom though , he tells her , to be with him like a prayer.. never leave him..
When it comes to leaving.. it 's a girls prerogative that more than one male Bedi is ready to drop her home ! Vyom dropping her is highly unlikely. Almost right away Vidyut comes from nowhere and near enough insists , this time instead of Vyom! let him have the pleasure! Sharanya feels he creeps up from behind her! Rati watches warily from the wings. But Vyom seems fine with it !
One restless spirit medium Odhni , about her business!! calling up spirits for her clients! One particular spirit , Shiv too turns up as an answer to her chants!
Vyom opens his heart to Rati .. and finds solace ,where as Rati keeps her fears about her possibly way ward husband in her heart. Her anxiety is perhaps a sign for viewers that Vidyut too is not how he seems to be.. Rati shows pleasure that Sharanya now shows much interest and concern for him! she wants Vyom to hang onto his perseverance a bit more.. till Sharanya opens the door to her heart!In this scene we are again led to believe that Vyom was committed to Sharanya for two years! His love seems genuine and sincere.. we are told again that Sharanya too is still in the process of allowing him space in her heart!
Madhvi fails to give her usual loud reaction to Vyom's recent fiasco.. Chandni seems to target Madhvi's peace of mind. yet again ,Chandni winds up Madhvi that here is another serious incident with Vyom which happens during Sharanya's presence . she gossips she's not sure if leaving her beside Vyom , is a constructive or destructive idea? Rajan overhears their tittle tattle .. I wonder, if Rajan has put Kamini up to the task of having a go at Madhvi , of slowing filling up her mind with fears and anxieties? In his house any guile is not surprising!! Things are not what they seem..
Vidyut taking Sharanya home is yet another scene where Vyom is promoted like a much repeated advertisement of ideal husband material before Sharanya..by now Sharanya is fed up by this hard sell by his family members! Vidyut is turned on by her reaction and has feely touchy evil on his mind! Rati knows he's a dirty old man!.. he is not how he seems, a middle aged uncle type, as described earlier by Sharanya to Vyom! Is this trip in the car with Vidyut a near miss wake up call? But then it is interrupted by a tall dark figure in centre of the road! The car has to stop! And Vidyut's action too! Sharanya hysteria ! catches out Vidyut's guilt! But he gets away with it this time ! As Sharanya is worried more about running someone over!!!
A wandering spirit he is ,in search of his lost love.. this time too he stops an unclean mind's unclean hand from touching his love.. the perpetrator looks at the desolate road. She too stands outside the car.. her eyes see the milestone Kapli hills.. and she shivers.. long has he stayed away from her.. no more now! The spirit walks up to her.. looms over her, very nearly touches her. The fragrance of stargazers is about her.. the spirit looks down at her and mumbles.. silently.. there is an insane lover.. beside you.. "They say winter evokes old memories, remember me then , as I remember you".. hamlet53 17.11.17.
Have to say again today it was promote Vyom.. Vikram was great in his scene with Sharanya..full on wooing and court ship... but as for his family they are odd.. Vidyut.. what was he thinking?? about the future Bahu of the house... Odhni has setting up a meeting tomm... can't wait.. last scene was moving... Namik is sooo tall!
