When tears fall out of Naira's eyes as the performance ends, you can see Karthik's heart break.
He wanted her forgiveness so badly, he had tried a lot of ways, but when he saw her in tears, thought she was hurting, he asked her not to think about it, to take her own time, he told her she didn't need to give an answer right now.
We have seen how much the guilt of hurting Naira eats Karthik up, remember before the wedding Karthik got to to know that Mansi was the culprit and later when he got to know that he again was lied to and Naira didn't get to know the truth on the wedding day, both times he was so broken, and then he hadn't been at fault, here he was, so just imagine how hurt he would be by hurting her and that his hurt would only get less with her forgiveness, yet when he sees those tears he asks her to reply later, he was willing to prolong that hurt of his just so that she wouldn't have to go through anymore hurt.
