She debuted as the main lead in 2003 superhit Andaaz

Even though Priyanka who played a second lead to her is now one of the biggest stars globally

lara on the other hand has totally faded away

of course one cannot expect the success level of a priyanka..deepika from everyone

but do you think she could have done better..or been a bigger star..

why couldn't she make it big?

Sush and Lara are very similar that way - extremely gorgeous, statuesque and pretty darn intelligent ladies and also extremely bad actors too

The bigger problem is that they both could not "become characters"

PS - I dont know how many have watched Jurm with Bobby, Lara and Milind Soman - Loved that movie and the principal cast it in

i don't care how bad an actor..though i feel she os decent with a good and clear dialogue delivery..and gigantic scren presence..when ever she is on screen..in movie or interviews..i cannot take my eyes off her..never seen anyone like her in BW❤️

I love Lara!!!! Crush forever. She's extremely articulate, very intelligent, sexy & highly attractive! Under-rated in sex appeal too, I was so taken aback when Farah said on KwK that she's "least sexy o her 3 choices, Malaika, Kareena & Lara."

Anyway. But I completely agree that she isn't a good actor, she's limited in a way & for the time that was introduced in BW, too anglicised. Didn't seem BW ambitious unlike the rest.

Agree with whatever has been said.

Lara was a sensation at Miss Universe and I remember the anchors were going crazy over her, saying stuff like 'If she were running for office, I would vote for her'. Immense presence of mind.

Gorgeous but not BW material.

Anyway, she is doing fine and doesn't seem fazed by not being on top. She mentors the Miss Diva girls and is satisfied with her role.

I agree she doesn't seem very motivated but her comic timing is xceptionally good..so wudnt call her a bad actress.She was pretty decent in all her comedy movies(I luuuved her in Houseful n Singh in Bling)but yeah doesn't fe well in other genres.
