I can't fault her for being mad that Neil scolded her in front of everyone, he called her careless so that must have annoyed her considering she has been the most cautious here. Avni believed the coast was clear because Ali said Vidyut was in custody, how was she to know he would be out in little to no time? Both Neil and Avni's POVs are understandable and I don't think this MU will lead to something bigger it is just how AvNeil are we have seen them like this before only now we get a chance to see Neil trying to pacify Avni. Poor Neil he is desperate for that kiss!
