I am going to be the devil's advocate here. No excuses for Naren's behavior today. The fool didn't realize that he lost her completely, at least for now. And Pooja was absolutely right, he didn't shame her but he put to shame his love and I am sure this time he is gonna drown himself more deeper than the previous time. To his defense, I would like to believe he meant nothing of what he said or did today. His expression in the precap says it all. What he did today was an impulsive act out of sheer jealousy. He was deeply hurt and wanted to hurt her where it would hurt her the most. Tit for TAt that's it. He was already going through a emotional roller coaster ride with the days happenings and the video pressed the trigger. I am saying again the beast inside him comes out when he sees her with someone else. Mr.Kapoor's lie that he & Pooja were married brought out the beast inside him. The day Mr. Kapoor lied in the hospital again brought out Naren's nasty side and today again he sees her dancing with him, his animal side is out. He just can't accept that she can be happy with someone else over him and he feels ditched when all the evidence goes against her and she continues to convince her love for him. And this is real emotions and it can happen to anyone in real life too. To what extent one goes with their hatred & frustration is a subjective thing. People even kill out of hatred and frustration. I am in no way justifying Naren's actions. The woman in me just wants to thrash Naren for his behavior today. But can't help understanding his plight.
I don't know how the CV's are going to redeem him after this, it's going to be really difficult. It will be sad if they don't give him a proper redemption. A thumbs up to the actors, they are doing a fantabulous job. The writers are also doing a pretty good job in creating an intense drama. On the whole Piya Albela is not for faint hearted.
I am going to start my post by apologizing I am not here to hurt anyone but In my own opinion anyone who tries to justify Naren's action by saying that he was hurt is wrong
Being hurt doesn't give you right to play with someone's dignity
Being hurt doesn't give you right to humiliate someone
Being hurt doesn't give you any kind of right over someone's body
I am pissed off at the writers and makers right now because they choose to make Naren's character equivalent to those boys in the movie Pink
The question is not whether it was Pooja who was dancing or was she right or wrong , the question is what right did Naren have to ask her to dance in front of people , even if she was dancing in front of Mr Kapoor and other does it give Mr Naren Vyas a right to ask her to strip naked in front of him
By showing this the makers and the writers have put themselves in the same category of people of our society who think its the clothes which should be respected and not the person
A girl is to be respected if she is wearing salwar suit and saree but if she wears a mini skirt she should be fair game for anyone ?
It shows that Naren Vyas belongs to the same class of men who think that because Pooja was dancing in front of other men(again whether she was actually dancing or not is not in picture ) she has to dance in front of him or since she is drinking wine she is a bad woman and can easily strip naked and have her picture taken
What sort of mentality does this project onto the writers and makers of the show
It projects the same thinking which those Pink villains had , that if a girl is promiscous she can be taken advantage of ,that the girl's consent is hidden in the length of her skirt
Similarly since Naren saw her dancing in front of other men , he had audacity to ask her to model naked in front of him
If Pooja was dancing in front of the other men , it was her choice and then Naren labelling her as a s**t or a wh**e and a stripper shows the mentality of the guy and not the character of the Girl
Have we forgotten that it was Naren who taught Pooja to respect the mother and ladies of Rang Gali
A person should be respected because he or she is a human being and not because of their actions of their choice of life style or even their clothes
Pooja stripping naked in front of him as shown in the precap only shows that the writers of the show have no respect for woman's modesty and her respect , why should Pooja do anything like this to prove her self , why should any girl justify her actions ,why aren't Mr Kapoor and Mr Naren answerable to the fact that they were there watching the dance , a girl dances then she is wrong but people watching her are not ? That just means that whatever men do its justifiable but when a girl does the same its not ?
Nothing and I mean nothing and no defence can stand up for the fact that if Naren sees a video of Pooja dancing in front of people he can ask her to strip naked in front of him. If Pooja was dancing i front of these people it was her choice , but taking that choice as an consent for any kind of treatment towards her is wrong
Naren understood the plight of Rang Gali's ladies , they had to do what they did to sustain themselves thats why they were respectable but the same being done by Pooja means he can insult her ?
Again sorry for the long post but I try to remain away from Indian shows which actually reduce a woman's role in our society to a mere notch in the bedposts of men . I was attracted to this show because Naren was someone who respected people for what they are ,because Pooja was strong enough to fight and win .
I loved that Satish slapped Naren for his actions , I loved that Anuj was there standing up for his sister .
But even after all this if Pooja forgives Naren then she is not justifying the love and respect her Mama and her brother are showing towards her
