It's halloween
let me preen
in front of the mirror;
Let her scream
and set off a trigger
that will unfold
events that are momentous and bigger.
Let me preen
unseen
in front of the mirror.
Let my dark eyes of burning coals
burn those evil souls
that wander in the Living
in the guise of innocent foals.
Unseen
let me prowl
but hear me
let out a howl
of pain
of betrayal
of insanity
of love.
Let me prowl
hither and thither;
On thin air
I float
as i set flowers to wither;
I smile
cold and calculating, Sober;
Upon my grave I shall rest
when hell freezes over.
Hither and Thither
dart my raven eyes
looking for redemption
seeking out love
but resting upon a piece
of the past
tattered
battered
waiting to be cast away.
My Raven eyes
flap furiously like the wings of a wretched bird
trapped
sapped of life, energy, of love.
They desperately seek release,
asking me to appease
my empty soul
with riches anew
sorrows a few
and implore me to rest upon
the cold earth, lonely and blue.
Furiously
I take
without asking
a peice of you
a peice of him
to complete me-
an incomplete jigsaw,
an unanswered question.
