Just watched the trailer of Tiger Zinda hain and it seems very similar to a recently released Malayalam film Take off. It was the story about the nurses held hostage by terrorist and how they were rescued the Malayalam film was closer to the real story . The Indian ambassador and the foreign affairs ministry had a big role to play in rescuing them safely.

In TZH tiger is the savior 😊

Posting the Take Off Trailer here:

Parvati should get National Award for this film.

Why did YRF make a film on the SAME subject?

Parvathy was excellent in this and she should get national award...
And the story was 75% real to what had happened ...

But here tiger ... then Pakistani spy ... their love action and heroic actions will take away the story s essence

This is surely a same event.. but TZH is showing through others lens, not the victims being prominent character.

Yes she deserves to win the NA for the film. Its been a good year for her, she is also debuting in hindi with Irrfan khan in Qarib Qarib single.

It was a very risky rescue operation and the foreign minister took some really strong decisions to ensure the safety of the nurses. Seems like a stylised version of take off with TIGER assuming responsibility of the rescue mission.

Just based on the trailer, the movies don't look similar. TZH was full of gunfights, explosions, villains, full-on action movie while Take Off seems like an accurate, documentary-style rendition. The backdrop of Iraq is the same and some nurse characters, but the overall treatment is totally different.

Am I the only one who just feels meh about TZH? I mean, the action was like any other action film. The leads look funny doing them too.

I absolutely loved take off.
I don't know how well twisting a true event completely and involving a Pakistani spy in it is going to go with people.
Take off was very accurate.

The plot line is. the story about the nurses being taken hostage and the government wanting to rescue them. TZH seems like a stylised version.

Yes very accurate and almost true to the story line and very well acted too. It was very realistic and the incidents shown were in the same order, they showed the struggles of the nurses and their suffering. Here focus seems shifted to Tiger and his team.
