Just watched yesterday's episode. As usual, Vatsalya and Satrupa's beautiful bond was heart melting. Its just so heartwarming to see them together. ❤️
Here is to their bond...

Maa ki hansee...

Maa ki hansee...

Phoolon si khoobsoorat hai teri hansee

Bacchon ki maasoomiyat si teri hansee

Subah hi bhor hai teri hansee

Panchhiyon ka chahchahaana hai teri hansee

Paani si sheetal hai teri hansee

Ek thandi bayaar si teri hansee

Sawaalon ka jawaab hai teri hansee

Uljhanon ki suljhan hai teri hansee

Hamesha haunsla badhaati hai teri hansee

Jeena mujhey sikhaati hai teri hansee

Mann ki tasalli hai teri hansee

Dil ka sukoon hai teri hansee

Meri toh duniya hai teri hansee

Jeeta hoon mein Maa, dekhney ke liye teri hansee...

❤️

A child's relationship with the mother is unique and indescribable. Each child has their own unique bond with his/her mother. No matter how big the arguments are a mother's tears moves the child, as for the mother she can discern her child's mood just by the sound of their voice. Mother's are the angels in Physical form and children are their heartbeats 😳

Satrupa as a Mother hasn't been a perfect epitome of motherhood seen on Indian television, but she's the only mother Vatsalya knew. We might not necessarily find her a great mother compared to Madhu but when we remove our perspective and look through Vatsalya's eyes we see a Woman who was a young girl who got married into a family that trapped her in a web of lies, husband that's been nothing close to what a life partner should be yet this woman pulled herself up together and did the best she can with the life that was set before her. Vatsalya's memories his words comforts her reassures her that she's not alone, she's loved she's worth fighting for, the child she bore finds her precious enough to give away his everything just to see her smile 😳

Everything is going to be ok, she'll once again pull herself up together like she did in the past she'll do this for the Sake of her Vatsalya. She'll not give up. She might not be the perfect mother to Anami but she'll try her best to be what Vatsalya thinks her to be!!

M a lovely poem, I know this was Vatsalya's heart speaking he's been Satrupa's cheerleader and I'm sure Satrupa will hold onto this precious child's memories and fight the shadows threatening to destroy everything she's been fighting to keep together.

**********

His Maa is all of those things you have written so movingly about when she is with him, and from what we have seen, only with him. The love that she feels for and gets from her remarkable son, allows her to shed all armour and guises she feels compelled to wear with the world. She can be that young, innocent girl with dreams in her eyes and see the world with a happy heart.

She who began her journey on the quicksands of betrayal. And was reminded of it day in day out, which can't have been easy. A father in law who was happy to have her stand with him shoulder to shoulder when it was convenient for him, but who then did not even look back when she slipped. A mother in law who resented her ability to do what she felt her own son should have been doing. Unwilling to see his incapability to do it in the first place. Because if you have it in you, you don't need power handed to you, it gravitates to you naturally.

The most difficult of all must be the guilt she lives with for giving away her child. A cross she will have to bear for the rest of her life, regardless of whether her daughter forgives her.

The hansi will come back. Maybe. But it will never be the openly joyful one she shared with him. That hansi is gone forever. A memory of a time when happiness did visit her sometimes.

Aww 😭 @ Mimosa That was beautiful and so so so true !
Our mom is truly our friend, irrespective of whether we are a son/daughter to her. She is the solution to everything and her smile truly can give you the courage to face hell and worse.
Her one tear can throw you into despair - and we will do anything to upturn that frown. She is a name beyond the Queen.
Whenever one see Vatsalya-Satrupa on screen it truly lights your face up with a wobbly smile - Half the times I don't know whether to cry or laugh.

Because no matter, he was her only respite to her inner turmoils, the only good thing she looked forward to. When a girl goes over to her in-laws house, she has no one there who is truly her own. Satrupa faced betrayal even at marriage, and she could do nothing about it but take it on its face value. Innocent yet strong she sailed along with courage. We are ourselves to some extent unaware of the exact terms of the thunderstorm that shook and hardened her. Even while giving birth, she was not at freedom. Vatsalya came into her life, like a drop of water on parched land. The littlest of feet left the biggest of footprints on her heart. And then he was cruelly snatched away. One can never imagine the extent of grief a mother has on losing her child. The fact that she has to live while missing him, losing her mind on that. The panic attack- that breathlessness you feel every single moment ; when it registers you cannot see him anymore, you cannot protect him anymore, he won't hide from you anymore - you cannot hold him anymore is indescribable.
She would do anything to reverse time, to scramble back
To stop him from going to hostel
To stop him from leaving
To wishing she had heard of his plans atleast once
To tear off the scarring memory of the noise of the car crash
To keep hearing his voice
Anything to just hear him call her "Maa" once again.

Ammu, Thank you so much dear.
You comments are always a delight to read.

What a beautiful post you have written. 👏

@Bold1- So true. I think Vatsalya was only hope and moving force in her life. People she trusted have disappointed her always. As she said in the earlier episodes, she just lives for her children. They are the only reason, which keeps her going. Inspires her to live and smile.

@bold2- I loved this line. ❤️

M

Welcome back 🤗

My mom smiled at me and her smile kind off, hugged me, stayed with me...
R J Palacio

Motherhood in all its entirety is renascence of a woman into acculturating and embracing a new lease of life that the heavens above bestows a woman with. And the genesis of being a fore-bearer to a child reshapes and moulds the of progenitress, forever.

Satrupa's life revolved around Vatsalya, especially after having been left bereft of all the love and affection from a husband who is antithetical to her. And the fore-giving of the twin left a void which only and only Vatsalya filled up with his presence and exuberance. And like any mother Satrupa's life and happiness was an appurtenance and reflection of his life, his merriment, his joys and his sorrows, and rightly so.

Yet, the rarity of having been left unhinged with the rude awakening of her beloved son's demise, has not only transmuted her into a rigid entity, but has also seized the contentment and cheerfulness that Vatsalya and his existence and companionship brought along with him.

And the only thing that cajoles her timid heart into a moment of satisfaction are the remnants of her beloved son's memories...one's that will be bound to her.. and him.. only.

A prophetic and moving epitaph depicting the bond of love that a mother shares with her son, M. This certainly pulled at my heartstrings.

Thank you for writing this !!

The past shapes our present to a great extent. We are yet to know the first few leaves from their life, Satrupa seems to have started off as a bright happy determined young bride. The surprises and setbacks hurled at the the decisions thrust on her has transformed her into who she is. Vatsalya the reason for her smile vanished and with him the purpose to live. Thank god she was not witness to the place Sudha sat to finish the meal.
No woman should experience this sort of treatment where you are expected to give but not given the warmth and trust and support you are expected to give.
