Thank you! Couldn't have said better. Shahid is seriously very underrated and I believe his past mistakes and bad script sense cost him good opportunities or roles that he could have slayed much earlier in his career. I guess he is a rare case of starkid cos his dad wasn't a popular star like the Kapoors or Bachans nor was he a director or producer like Roshans or Dhawans. Whatever he is offscreen, he is amazing onscreen. I'm glad his recent choices barring Shaandaar have been great so far. I would even rate him better actor than my other favourite Veer. These two will definitely steal the show, poor DP again.😆

Shahid is not at all under rated. If he would have been under rated, he would not have so many big and plum projects and great roles lining up for him since last 15 years, despite having just 2-3 hits in such a long career.

Exactly. Both him and his dad are such phenomenally talented actors. Shahid in Haider was class apart. I dont even count him as a starkid because he got no privileges as such. He's very expressive imo and has lately selected great scripts. Shaandar was such bad luck. Even Alia who has great script sense messed up there.

I found DP quite expressionless in Ghoomar itself, and this is coming from someone who absolutely adores her.

I brought up that starkid argument because I have seen some posts on social media that includes him in lists of privileged starkids who failed. Which isn't like you mentioned his father wasn't a star himself so I don see why directors still would choose him after his flops. I honestly feel despite his so called bad image among industry people(reminding me of that bad turnout at his wedding reception), the industry do acknowledge his talent and I guess that's why they select him(not for BO but for the ability to enact that part well). I think I loved his acting more in Kaminey(esp as Charlie). 😳 Shaandaar failure was shocking knowing how the film banked on Alia starpower. And the bad screenplay was even more shocking knowing it was VB product right after a film like Queen. I guess they were trying to do something but didn't reflect onscreen. Although I have to admit even in this film, Sasha was good. About DP, well I used to like her but not now. She is back to being wooden and that's an opinion do hope u aren't offended by it.
