The way Maasi boasted of gold jewelry in front of Kanak, it gave hints about her mindset... I want to see her face when Kanak elopes with the Bhabho shop papers (unknown to them) leaving all those 'pure gold' jewelries behind...

hiya Rittu, interesting post.. yes Maasi.. after US is the big known face in the household.. me wants to know why apart from Shiv and uma there are'nt any men inthe house.. gabbsa seems to be some menial.cum confidant male figure.. you are right thereare questions. where is uma's father? dead or alive? and where is maasi 's hubby.. your speculation that shiv might be maasi 's son by uma's father.. does that mean... Maasa became ill to the point of disability .. so uma's father married her younger sister, Maasi , to look after his wife and nurture his son uma?.. shiv can be considered her son... there is a huge age difference between the two brothers...

i think there is nothing wrong with the entire family just maasi saa. and she may be a widow .. there was this scene when they asked her to do something only married woman can do and she looked round like how can i do this when they were leaving for kerala
