Can a good person be/become a bad spirit? And what is a spirit. All of us have souls, but what is our soul? What is it made of? When life is snuffed out of a flower, it just dies. And I presume the same for animals, so do only humans have an after life?

Coming back to the question of what is our souls made of? Neurons? Atoms of sorts? (That would indeed answer the lights flickering and Shiv being a conductor of electricity).

In reality, it would be impossible to see a soul after it leaves the living world. Ofcourse, negative energies can only be felt. Science refutes the existance of ghosts and spirits. But it also denies the existance of God. So do ghosts exist or are they the figmant of someones very wild imagination, carried on brave shoulders through centuries?

That brings me to the topic of witch craft and black magic. These are serious issues that plague our society still. I read not to long ago about the public flogging of women considered witches and in Victorian englan women were tortured for being witches. We went to the museum of torture during medieval times in Italy and some of the contraptions used there are horrific. These practices are still followed in India. So does black magic exist and should we immerse ourselves in such superstition? The only evil that exists is within ourselves and only we can contain the evil.

i don't think shiv is a bad spirit.

in all the ghost movies the ghost tries to scare the shit out of people even if they are a good spirit. they are trying to get the attention of that person.

i guess shiv is trying to get sharanya's attention and trying to make her memory get back before she gets close to vyom.

i only saw yesterday's episode as i was at home and this is what i think after watching it. i think the phase of the show is a bit slow and the only relevant thing they showed yesterday was the flashback.

I think it is a bit unclear now what Shiv's intentions are (or what his supernatural strengths are). What kind of a person was he? Did he approach Sharanya or did she pursue him? I think all this will inform the story and the kind of spirit he is. But I wondered if he could be a 'bad' spirit out for revenge since there is so much discussion on his motives. If he was generally a good person, the underlying goodness would remain in his soul. If he was grey, a certain meanness will be exaggerated in his soul.

I guess I also just wondered if people here believed in the supernatural, given this is a supernatural show and there is so much grey on this topic.

The term Spirit has different definitions in separate fields.My own personal beliefs regarding this are something different too.

But when we speak of a fictional zone like our TV shows,spirits are entities who haunt people for a purpose.Usually they have a strong motivation to do so.In Shiv's case it's his deep love/obsession for Sharanya.Atleast that's what I think as of now.

He is not an evil spirit though.

Seriously though, I firmly believe that animals have a soul and they all go to heaven. Hell is reserved for humans.

In context to the story, I don't think Shiv is an evil spirit. He is under a misconception which in itself is a bit weird. One would imagine that once you die, you can see the whole true picture from your astral plane.

What if Shiv isn't a spirit at all? What if he is the only one alive and everyone else is dead like the I see dead people wala Sixth sense😆

Eh his supernatural powers are limited to making lights flicker and causing SharOm to bicker. 😛

It's his life...I mean...afterlife's purpose to jog Sharanya's memory and make her repent for her 'wrongdoings'.

Mmm...interesting!! I like this theory. Shiv is the only one alive. Maybe this whole thing is taking place in an alternate reality and what you see is false and what you don't see is true?! Either way, perhaps Sahranur will see what a good looking Snow White glow bright the ghost is and renounce living or not living as the case may be. I even have two romantic songs lined up- yeh kaali kaali aankhein, yeh gore gore gaal, yeh theeki theeki nazrein...

Not just Victorian England but it happened in the US with the whole Salem witch trials, where mothers and daughters were burnt alive, but the sad part is that all it took for a woman to be branded a witch was an accusation, so a jealous neighbour, a disgruntled relative, could accuse a woman of being a witch and then there was a sham of a trial and the woman was then burnt alive!

I don't believe in them but when I was in grad school, someone I worked with for a project was a Ph.d student who was married with 2 children and she said her house was haunted and was super scared and was going to move out of the house. She was quite a rational person, so the doubt is always there!
