Like I said, nowadays its all abt convenience and practicality. Priests look up best date for shradh ceremony during mourning period and if good date is there before 13th day, they do the ceremony if family wants to do it sooner.
But still fact remains that THIS is the actual shradh and not the one before that those BW celebs attended on 4th day, hence all family members will have to attend this Shradh while the earlier one was optional for them.
