actress Deepika Padukone opened up about
her film and character. The actress spoke
about the unibrow her character Rani
Padmini dons in the film.
The Piku actress on the unibrow look said,
"Women have been conditioned to think of
beauty in a certain way".
Deepika's unibrow look in the posters, as
well as the trailer, amazed her fans and they
even appreciated her for the look.
She further added, "Talking about my
remuneration is not exciting for me." When
asked about her character and how she
relates to it, the dimpled-beauty stated, "Rani
Padmavati's soul is here with us, I feel like I
am living her."
Since its announcement, the Sanjay Leela
Bhansali directorial has been facing many
threats from the Rajput Karni Sena. From
vandalising the sets to hitting SLB, the
community said they won't let the film
release if any facts are distorted.
At the trailer launch, the Chennai Express
actress said that no one can stop Padmavati
from released. She said, "Nothing and no
one can stop this film."
The film will be released in 3D as well as 2D.
This is Deepika's third film with Bhansali. It
also stars Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh
in lead roles. Both of them didn't attend the
trailer launch.
Last week the first song from the film
Ghoomar was out. The actress looks
stunning and successfully nailed the steps of
this Rajasthani folk dance.
About her performance and dance in
Ghoomar, the Piku actress had said, "It has
been one of the most difficult song
sequences that Sanjay sir and I have shot
for. The shooting of the film began with this
song and I will never forget that day. I
remember approaching my mark for the
first shot and suddenly, I felt a chill run
through my body. It was almost as if
Padmavati's soul had entered my body. That
feeling still lingers and will continue for
years to come.
Padmavati will hit the silver screens
on December 1, 2017.
