It was undoubtedly Gilchrist, who stole the show in the washed out 1st One dayer of the CB series...We don't get to watch such honest walk offs, everyday in the game...Hats off to him for such a great display of what we call as a true sportsmanship...👏..We need more players like him..Amen!!!

Shabri, unfortunately I also got to catch the news only on Cricinfo.com, though I wish I really got to watch this thing live...My cousins watched it and they were all full of praises for Gilchrist...Apparently the bowler, the wicket keeper and obviously the umpire, none of them thought the ball made a contact..However, Gilchrist signaled his glove, indicating that the ball touched him there, and walked off quietly...The whole stadium was rather stunned and people took 2 minutes to recover and then gave a roaring Standing ovation to him...

Really if one wants it, Cricket could indeed be a Gentlemen's game...

i just cut and pasted this snippet of what happened....from cricinfo....real integrity and honesty shown by gilly.

Sreesanth to Gilchrist, OUT, and he walks! Gilchrist chases a short one down leg stump, there's deviation before Dhoni takes it to his right ... appears he gloved it ... Sreesanth semi appeals but there's no reaction from Steve Davis ... but Gilchrist puts his head down and heads inside, so India have an early wicket ...thats not something we see in these times, a batsman walking.

Funny thing is that the umpire almost said NO..where it was clear that it touched his gloves.
