I don't know how much "history" is true and how much is fiction but I have heard the Rani sent her case to court in England to challenge the annexation of Jhansi and argued it was illegal. Afterward as "punishment" the royal jewels were seized so maybe her lack of jewelry is part of the plot. Pretty sure the shawl was just for between takes but there is video (slowing her accidentally falling on her ass) on YT where they seem to be filming (you can hear director calls) where she is dressed similarly.

I think it's funny the headline calling the pictures "leaked", but I greatly prefer this kind of distraction over the whining and mudslinging any day. Still wish she could learn to not need a spotlight 24/7. She should concentrate on her work, not her celebrity.
