Baraat had just left for Vishgarh that Rajmata Savitri Devi got a call from one of her most trusted informer that Rajmata Vijayalakshmi (Please see the CS) is not in aashram since last night. Rajmata Savitri Devi yelled at the informer, "Aap hummein abb soochit kar rahe hain? Kal raat kyun nahi kiya? (You are informing me now? Why didn't you inform me last night?) Before informer could answer she slammed the phone down.

Although Rajmata Savitri Devi had called and also sent Rajmata Vijayalakshmi an invitation card regarding Yuvraj Bhujang and Rajkumari Durgeshwari's marriage but she did not think that Rajmata Vijayalakshmi will attend after the serious arguement between Savitri Devi and Rajmata Vijayalakshmi 7years back. But now hearing of her sister-in-law or "nanad's disappearance she was very sure that Rajmata Vijayalakshmi will be in Ajgarh soon. Rajmata Savitri Devi was right and within an hour of her call with her informer, Rajmata Vijayalakshmi arrived with her personal maid, Ramdulari.

Once Rajmata Vijayalakshmi arrived she was ordering Rajmata Savitri Devi to get her room organised and her bath ready as well as she wanted to freshen up after her journey, making Rajmata Savitri Devi tense and flustered.

Meanwhile in Vishgarh, Durga hugged Rajkumari Rukmini tightly and poured her heart out by saying hiccuping, "Bhabh..i..sa...aap...kriypa...humare...paas...Ajgarh...aaa...yega!

(Bhabhi-sa, please come to meet me in Ajgarh.)

Yuvraj Krishan Pratap side hugged his crying sister Rajkumari Durgeshwari and guided her to decorated limousine. Once both Rajkumari Durgeshwari and Yuvraj Bhujang sat in the decorated limousine. Yuvraj Krishan Pratap put a coconut in front of the wheels of limousine which its tyre crushed on its way to the Palace of Ajgarh.

Whole way from Vishgarh to Ajgarh, Rajkumari Durgeshwari was weeping uncontrollably on Yuvraj Bhujang's shoulder making him realise how heart wrenching it is for a new bride to leave her home. If her husband is happy and agreeable for the marriage he will be supportive and helpful to his new wife in this transition time like Yuvraj Bhujang was. But if the new bride's husband has been forced into marriage then...? Just like his doll and baby sister "Mini or Rajkumari Rukmini was forced into marriage with Yuvraj Krishan Pratap. An intense wave of guilt enveloped Yuvraj Bhujang for leaving his sister mid stream of life when she needed him the most.. Each day he is realising why Mini has become so angry and disappointed at him. He always thought that in "Naaglok everyone is very cold and harsh without emotions, based only on their animalistic needs i.e. food, water, sexual pleasure, fighting for survival etc. Yuvraj Bhujang failed to remember that when snakes were given boon of "icchadhari naag/ naagin (to transform their self) by Lord Shiva, it also brought human emotions along with the human form (manushiye yoni).

By the time limousine reached Ajgarh Palace, sun was soon going to rise in the horizon . Rajkumari Durgeshwari was stunned seeing the majestic elegance of lighted up Palace of Ajgarh.

As it was getting late Maharaj Nagendra ushered the newly weds inside the Palace of Ajgarh. They were greeted at the main entrance of the Palace by Rajmata Vijayalakshmi's grand daughter-in-law Rajkumari Meenakshi Rathore.

Although in age Rajkumari Meenakshi was elder than Rajkumari Durgeshwari but according to royal heirachy she was younger than Durga.

Yuvraj Bhujang was elder than Rajkunwar Harshvardhan.

But as Yuvraj Bhujang did not have any elder brother, hence no bhabhi as well so Rajkumari Meenakshi was doing all the bhabhi's rites. As both Rajmata Vijayalakshmi and Rajmata Savitri Devi were widow they were not allowed to welcome the new bride and were sitting in Rajmata Vijayalakshmi's room. Rajkumari Meenakshi was waiting for doing Grihapravesh of Rajkumari Durgeshwari.(In this ritual the bride enters the husband's house for the first time.) Rajkumari Meenakshi standing at the chaukhat' (threshold) of Ajgarh Palace, first she welcomed Yuvraj Bhujang and Rajkumari Durgeshwari by doing their aarti. Next she smeared Yuvraj Bhujang's forehead with vermilion in form of "tilaak and fed him sweet;

after that Rajkumari Meenakshi smeared Rajkumari Durgeshwari's forehead with vermilion in form of bindi & filled Rajkumari Durgeshwari's hair parting with vermilion in form of maang bharna' and fed her sweet. Then she requested Rajkumari Durgeshwari to gently kick the kalaash' (pot) full of rice with her right foot inside and

then immerse her feet in thaal full of "alta/mahaawar and walk inside the house, keeping her right foot first.

Hence, finally Rajkumari Durgeshwari did "grihapravesh in Ajgarh Palace!

After grihapravesh, Yuvraj Bhujang and Rajkumari Durgeshwari were first guided to Rajmata Vijayalakshmi's room where they touched Rajmata Vijayalakshmi's feet and she blessed Yuvraj Bhujang as "Yashasvi Bhav! (Be valiant!) Then looking with lot of love and devotion in her eyes at Rajkumari Durgeshwari she said, "Hum aapko kya aashirwaad dein Rajkumariji? Aap toh humse har roop mein badhi hain. Hummein toh aapke pair chune chahiye! (What blessing should I give you, Princess? You are higher to me in any form? I should be the one to touch your feet.) Suprising everyone present. Most surprised was Rajmata Savitri Devi.

"Yeh aap kya keh rahi hain? Aap humse ayu aur yogita mein bahut sheshath hain, Rajmata. (What are you saying? You are elder to me both in age and qualities.) Rajkumari Durgeshwari again bent to touch her feet.

Hesitatingly Rajmata Vijayalakshmi blessed Durga with age old blessing, "Sada Suhaagan raho! Doodho nahon! Putton phalon! (Remain always married! Have prosperous and valiant sons!) Then the newly weds touched Rajmata Savitri Devi's feet and she blessed them. Yuvraj Bhujang was about to leave with Rajkumari Durgeshwari when Rajmata Vijayalakshmi said, "Aaj aap apni Daddoo' se baath nahi karenge? (Today won't you talk to your Daddoo'?)

Yuvraj Bhujang at once sat down with a smile on his face. As Rajkumari Durgeshwari was still tied with Yuvraj Bhujang in "gatbandhan she also sat down on his left side. Seeing Vicky hovering behind Yuvraj Bhujang and Rajkumari Durgeshwari, Rajmata Vijayalakshmi said, "Aap Kunwar Vikrant hai naa? Rajkumari Kumudini ke putr? (You are Vikrant? Rajkumari Kumudini's son?)

"Ji Rajmata." Vicky said touching her feet.

"Aap hummein "Nanimaa bulaiye. "Rajmata aap bhabhi-sa ko bulaiye! (Please call me grandmaa'. You can call my sister-in-law "Queen Mother!)

Just then someone called Rajmata Savitri Devi and she left making the environment a little less stressful and more relaxed. Just then Rajkumari Meenakshi came to ask if Rajmata Vijayalakshmi, Yuvraj Bhujang and Rajkumari Durgeshwari would like to have anything to eat or drink but all nodded negative and said,

"Meenakshi beta, Yuvraj Bhujang aur Rajkumari Durgeshwari ka gatbandhan' (Marital knot) khol do kyunki aaj raat Rajkumari Durgeshwari humare saath soyengi.(Meenakshi please open gatbandhan' as Rajkumari Durgeshwari will sleep with me tonight.)

"KYA? (WHAT?) Yuvraj Bhujang exclaimed.

"Kya hua aapko Bhujang? Rajkumari Durgeshwari aur aapki "suhaag raat tab tak nahi ho sakti jab tak aap dono humare "Kuldevta ke darshan" (pay respects to God of our clan) nahi karte, aap dono "Ganga-snaan(bath in Holy Ganges) nahi karte aur Rajkumari Durgeshwari ki "muk dikhai nahi hoti! (What happened Bhujang? Rajkumari Durgeshwari and your first can only happen after you both pay respects to God of our clan (Kuldevta); take bath in holy river Ganges (Ganga snaan) and after Rajkumari Durgeshwari reveals her face to ladies of our family and acquaintences (muh dikhai).)

Rajkumari Meenakshi hesistantly said, "Dadi-sa, kintu jethji aur jethaani-sa ka abhi tak Ganga-snaan' aur Kuldevta ke darshan' nahi huye hain. Kya abhi Yuvraj Bhujang and Rajkumari Durgeshwari's gatbandhan' kholna sahi hoga? (But respected grandmaa as brother-in-law and sister-in-law have not as yet paid respects to God of our clan (Kuldevta) or taken bath in the holy river Ganges (Ganga snaan) is it wise to open their marital knot (gatbandhan)?)

"Baath toh aap sahi keh rahi hain. (You are right.) Rajmata Vijayalakshmi thought something and said, "Rajkumari Durgeshwari aap aasan grahan kijiye. (Please sit down Princess Durgeshwari.) Rajmata Vijayalakshmi indicated to the low height spacious stool. After Rajkumari Durgeshwari sat, Rajmata Vijayalakshmi told, "Yuvraj Bhujang aap apna angvastra nikaal kar Rajkumari Durgeshwari ki godh mein dal dijiye. (Yuvraj Bhujang, please remove your stole and place it in Rajkumari Durgeshwari's lap.)

(In North India Stole' around bridegroom's neck is also called "angvastra the fabric and use of "angvastra is very different from its use in South India.)

One end of Yuvraj Bhujang's stole was tied to Rajkumari Durgeshwari's dupatta and one side of stole was wrapped in a knot with coconut (Depending on the North Indian state!) and some things blessings trivia i.e. puffed rice, polished rice etc. and given to Yuvraj Bhujang.

Yuvraj Bhujang did as told but after hearing Rajmata Vijayalakshmi's order Yuvraj Bhujang was very irritated and frustrated so after sometime of polite talk he left along with Vicky.

Rest of relatives either had left for breakfast or for their respective homes. Just then Rajkumari Meenakshi came in with few female maids carrying food for Rajmata Vijayalakshmi and Rajkumari Durgeshwari but both refused as their morning prayers were not done. Durga was surprised not to find Rajmata Savitri Devi around. When Rajmata Vijayalakshmi asked, Rajkumari Meenakshi said she was seeing to the other relatives breakfast. Rajmata Vijayalakshmi thought something and told Rajkumari Meenakshi to send Rajmata Savitri Devi. Once Rajkumari Meenakshi left, Rajmata Vijayalakshmi insisted that Durga should call her Dadi-sa'. Soon Savitri Devi arrived and Rajmata Vijayalakshmi said, "Bhabhi-sa, nashte se poorv kyun naa hum Yuvraj Bhujang aur Rajkumari Durgeshwari ka Ganga-snaan' aur Kuldevta ke darshan' kara dete hain? (Sister-in-law, why don't we get Yuvraj Bhujang and Rajkumari Durgeshwari to take bath in holy river Ganges (Ganga snaan) and pay respects to God of our clan (Kuldevta) before breakfast today?)

"Didi, Ganga-snaan' ke liye toh door jaana hoge jaise Haridwaar yaa Varanasi. Haan Kuldevta ke darshan' abhi snaan ke pashchaat ho sakte hain.(Didi, for taking bath in holy river Ganges (Ganga snaan) they will have to go to a far off place i.e. Haridwaar or Varanasi. But today after their bath they can pay respects to God of our clan (Kuldevta).)

Hence, later in the day after Rajkumari Durgeshwari's morning prayers, Yuvraj Bhujang and Rajkumari Durgeshwari's Kuldevta' ke darshan, breakfast and lunch, when there was only Rajmata Vijayalakshmi and Rajkumari Durgeshwari (Durga)present in Rajmata Vijayalakshmi's room, Durga asked politely, "Dadi-sa yadhpi aap anumati dein toh kya hum bhabhi-sa arthaarth Rajkumari Rukmini ke "pag-pheron ki rasam aapke samaksh kar sakte hain? (Dadi-sa, if you give permission can I do Bhabhi-sa, I mean Rajkumari Rukmini's "pag-phera custom in your presence?)

"Kya Rajkumari Rukmini ke pag-pheron ki rasam abhi tak nahi huyi? Unke vivaah ko kitne varsh ho gaye hain? (What Rajkumari Rukmini's pag-phera ceremony has still not been done? How long since she has been married?)

"Chaar varsh! (Four years!)

(Pag Phere is a common post wedding ritual held in North Indian weddings. In this, the bride and groom visit the bridal home, the day after the wedding. The bride's brother may also come to pick her up from her in-law's home and take her back to her parents. In her honor, the family prepares a large feast and also gifts her and the groom several expensive gifts. This is also a way of inviting the groom into the family and inside their hearts!)

"Kintu kyun? (But why?)

"Woh hummein nahi gyaat. (The reason I'm not aware.)

Before Rajmata Vijayalakshmi and Rajkumari Durgeshwari could talk any more Rajkumari Meenakshi came with few female maids to help Rajkumari Durgeshwari get ready for "muh dikhai.
