Not just the super-cop but also an actor

Just before we get to the topic, I would formally give a tad bit information about me. I have been a NK-follower almost throughout; post-leap, pre-leap, whichever leap you name. Following this forum on and off for quite some while now. I am Shahnaz aka Shenz. And post leap the only reason I continued was Zain Imam as Neil Khanna.
Leaving that aside. Let's get to the topic.

Neil Khanna, the ACP, super-cop - that's something all of us know. His brilliance at his work is undeniable. He is indeed a smart police officer. But we cannot forget we have also seen a brilliant actor in Neil.

He has enacted to be drunk when he was not. just because he wanted to prove Avni's innocence in the eyes of his family. Everyone, EVERY God damn person tripped for his act. He had fooled everyone that he was actually drunk.

His performance while reading Avni's note when he found out she had already left him; to save a child's future, to give that child the 'Happy Family' that she always wished for but was never fulfilled. He portrayed to have shattered in front of is family. He wanted them to believe that he was heartbroken to have his love walkaway from his life. His blood-shot eyes, his expressions. All of it was BANG-on. He even made us believe that Avni's departure wasn't a part of the plan. But wasn't that all a setup. He very-well knew where she was headed to and what for.

Somewhere down the line I still feel this whole 'meri beti' 'mera baccha' is another setup. God knows for what but it is.

Also there are a lot of loose ends left hanging in there; a lot of unanswered questions, a lot of mysterious vibes around the new characters - Vidyut and Mishti that's to be solved.

PS: One thing is for sure, the writing has definitely changed.

I will agree with the point that the writing has changed.
Earlier no track even the good ones was dragged but this torturous track is being dragged beyond our patience limits.
Both Avni and Neil's character are compromised to give space to the unwanted character. Earlier the scenes were written beautifully and we were able to connect to the characters and situation very well but now everything looks so artificial
The show is losing its initial charm

That surely is something they need to start working upon. Until their return from RM everything seemed fine. Perfectly paced. Not rushed, not dragged.

And now with the whole 'Juhi-Mishti' thing they have forgotten the charm of Avni and Neil, as individuals and as a couple. There is so much of mystery and hype going on that there's nothing left for us to be able to connect with. That's the amount of confusion they have created.

I agree they are giving us some AvNeil moments but the overall impact of the episode goes down the drain when you look at the bigger picture.

Is this thanks to new script writer Pallavi Mehta who joined GH to give us this grand twist

This is possible. Highly possible. That it's Neil's act. But why so much drama. I don't get it. As far as writing is concerned, not so sure about it. I binge watched the serials. So I can't comment on that. But it happens that as the shows progress, the writers lose interest or are under lots of pressure to keep up ratings. Or whatever. That idk.

I disagree about the show losing its charm, the episodes have been really well written for me. I know today the whole scene with Neil referring to Mishti as his child rubbed many the wrong way, I can understand that but for me Avni and Neil are still the same two characters I fell in love with.

In regards to the change in writing, I did read on this forum about there being a new writer so yes the change was noticeable in the latest episode.

There is definitely more that has yet to be revealed, Vidyut did not come onto this show to be some useless entry. Vidyut and Mishti's connection runs deeper and so does his connection to Juhi. Hopefully we will learn more before the week is out because I've seen the state of the forum, most have lost patience
