Chapter 1. A starting or an end?
"I fell in love with you because of the million things you never knew you were doing.
Naira Singhania.
As I stepped out of the plane, I inhaled the fresh air of my homeland, my Udaipur. Naturally, a smile came onto my face. I have been working as a jewelry designer since last three years at estates. I always wanted to come back and start a business of my own and what better time I could have chosen than this when my brother is getting married. He must already have reached to pick me up. I should hurry up. I saw him tapping his phone on his hands and looking here and there restlessly maybe to find me.
"Bhaii!, I called him excitedly and he almost jumped in my direction which made me laugh.
He's such a cutie!
I was wearing a casual white tee with blue denim and brown boots.
Bhaii was wearing a solid blue tee and grey pants and was looking undoubtedly handsome. It seemed I was looking him after ages.
Oh! I missed you bhaii.
He immediately hugged me which I reciprocated.
"Kesi hai tu?, He asked and broke the hug.
"Ek dum badiya.. Aap batao!
"Me bhi thik hun! Vese bahut moti hogyi hai tu.., He commented keenly examining me.
My mouth turned into an O', "Bhai hum itne time baad mil rahe hai.. You should have said "Naira tu kitni patli hogyi.. Kuch khati peeti nhi thi kya wahan, I said mimicking that typical dialogue which mother's throw at their children when they come home.
"Yeh toh tujhe badi dadi khengi.., he told and we laughed.
I hopped into the car while bhaii was keeping my luggage inside. He came and sit onto the driver's seat.
"Ghar walon se toh meri baat hoti rehti hai.. Aap yeh batao ki bhabi kesi hain?, I asked him with a teasing smile. He gave a small laugh, "Achchi hai.
"Sirf achchi?
"Naira! Stop it.
"Wese mene unki photo dekhi.. She's beautiful!!, I told him.
"Aur dil se aur bhi khoobsurat hai., Bhaii said absentmindedly and I started smiling like a big time, "Aww!
He blushed a little and sighed.
I am so excited to meet you Bhabhi!
Soon we came to Singhania Sadan and it felt so great. I have to admit this smile is stuck on my face from the very time I have landed at Udaipur. The thought that I will be living here only from now on was making me so happy!!
"Madam aapne apne khayali pulav bnaliye ho toh andar chale?, Bhaii asked me standing at my gate of the car. I smiled and got out.
Everyone was waiting for me at the entrance. Even Nani and nanu have come. Seeing them all together made me feel so special. I ran towards them and dadi did my Aarti and then I immediately got in and hugged everybody, of course one by one.
Cons of having a too big family! But I love them like anything.
And as expected everyone started throwing dialogues like how slim I have become and not taking care of myself at which I and Bhaii shared a knowing look.
How much I have missed all this!
I sat down with a plate filled with kachodis with others while Bhaii got a call. By the look on his face, it was clear the call was of Bhabi's. Everyone started teasing him and he went a little away to pick up the call.
The elders started talking about Goenkas and how good-looking the to be wed couple looks. They praised Bhabhi a lot and told me that Goenkas have invited us for a dinner at a hotel so that both the families could discuss on shaadi ki date and other functions. I was already very excited because it will be the first time I will be meeting Bhabhi and her family.
"Ahm.., Bhaii returned, "Vo keerti ji keh rhi thi ki kya dinner ke decided time se thodi dair phele hum mil sakte hain..
"Ooo.., I stood up keeping my half-completed plate on the table with a keen expression, "Toh dono families ke milne se phele aapdono date pe jaana chahte ho?, I asked teasingly as I approached towards him. He rolled his eyes, "Aisa kuch nhi hai! She actually wants to meet you.. Usne tumhe bhi bulaya hai..
"Mujhe?, I was surprised.
He looked towards everyone, "Vo Keerti ji keh rhin thi ki vo Naira se milna chahti hai.. Toh isliye we decided ki vo, mein, Naira aur Karthik dinner se thodi dair phele vo hotel ke paas wale caf me mil lete hai..
Karthik?, this single name brought up so many emotions inside me.
"Haan toh yeh toh acha hai.. Bachche apas me ghul mil jaye toh is se acha kya hosakta hai.., Dadi said.
"Karthik kon hai?, I asked with a pale face.
"Vo Keerti ji ka bhai.. You remember?, Bhaii told.
"Bhabi ke bhai ka naam Karthik hai?, I asked.
"Haan.. Btaya nhi kisine tumhe?
"Han.. Karthik ke baare me toh bahut baar zikr hua hai.. Par lagta hai naam btana bhul gaye hum.., Nani said while I passed an understanding smile, "Ladka bahut acha hai vese Karthik
"Haan yeh toh sahi kaha.., Dadi agreed with Nani's words while I didn't know how to react.
Calm down Naira! There's not one Karthik in this world. Yeh tera Karthik nhi hosakta, and I sarcastically laughed thinking I yet address him as mine.
Seeing my dull face, everyone asked me to have some rest and I nodded.
"Tu abhi araam karle.. Bas 7:30 tak ready rhio.. I will come and pick you!, Bhaii said and went to Krishna.

Keerti Goenka.
"Naksh ka abhi message aya.. They are coming!, I told my brother and his smile grew wide.
Aaj kitne time baad ise aise khush dekha haii..
He got up and hugged me, "Keerti! Keerti! Keerti! Tujhe nhi pata tune mere liye aaj kya kiya hai..
I smiled, "Karthik! Aisa kuch nhi hai..
He broke the hug, "Nhi Keerti.. Aaj sirf teri wajah se me use dekhunga.. Itne saalon baad.. Pata nhi kahan kahan nhi dhunda use.. Aaj mili hai wo..
I kept my hands on is shoulder, "I know Karthik.. Mujhse better kon jaanta hai.. Tu dekhio.. Tujhe tere sabr ka phal zaroor milegaa.
"I hope so but thank you so much for this Keerti. Tune mere liye yeh baat Naksh se bhi chupayi..
"It's okay Karthik.. Aur me toh Naksh ko btane ka hi wait kar rhi hun.. Ek baar bas teri Naira maan jaye!, I smiled and patted on his cheek. He gave his million-dollar smile and went.
Shaam ki tayaariyan jo karni hai ise..
As he went I opened my wardrobe and tried to find a perfect dress for tonight. I settled for a chiffon long dress which will be apt I guess.
Aaj meri aur Naksh ki shaadi ki date final hojayegi.., I smiled. Even meeting a man like Naksh these days is rare but I am the lucky one to be able to marry him.
"Bahut ache hain aap Naksh.. I hope ki me apke kabil ban paun., I said to myself.
The clock stricken 7:30 and I got down. Everyone commented that I was looking beautiful.
"Rukja phele nazar utaarne de.., said Dadi. I smiled and let her do what she wants.
Karthik came wearing a 3-piece suit. From last three years, he has completely engrossed himself into work and office. Though he has taken Goenka's empire to next level in such a short span of time, I still miss that carefree Karthik who used to roam around in-house wearing his favorite nightsuit.

"Tumlog jao.. (Dadi said looking towards me and Karthik) Humlog phir milte hain tumlogon ko hotel me.
"Ahm.. Mujhe phele kuch kaam hai.. Keerti driver ke sath chali jayegi.. (Then he looked towards me) Me phir thodi dair me tumlogon ko join karta hun.., I was confused. At first, he was so excited to meet Naira toh ab aisa kya kaam aagya?
He signaled me there was nothing to worry and I should go without him. I nodded and went with the driver.
I reached Samaira's Caf, one of the finest caf here and the guard opened my car's door for me. The moment I went inside, I got a call from Naksh telling the table number at which they were sitting. It was an open caf with but with a homely atmosphere.
I reached the table and found Naksh standing waiting for me. We smiled towards each other. He was looking perfect in a white and blue-greyish pants.
Somehow, I didn't realize and I stepped onto a pebble and unfortunately I was wearing heels and thus couldn't balance myself and was about to fall down. I knew I was going to fall over Naksh but I couldn't do anything now.
Gosh! It will be so embarrassing.
He catched me in his arms and also managed to balace himself.
Atleast we both didn't fall.
My eyes were tightly shut due to the fear of the fall but I opened them slowly and found Naksh looking at me worriedly.
"Keerti ji aap thiik toh hain?, he asked and I nodded.
He looks so cute even with a worried face!
My past experiences made me feel I will never get a right guy but today being in Naksh's arms, I felt so complete. We both were kinda lost into each other when we heard someone coughing from behind. I stood up on my feet with the help of Naksh and found Naira standing before us giving us a teasing smile.
"Hello Bhabi!, She greeted excitedly at which I couldn't help but smile. So this is Naira! She looks even more pretty face to face than those pictures Karthik has of her. She was wearing an ivory black and white dress which seemed perfect for her figure.
I immediately hugged my brother's one and only love. She was taken aback for a while but then happily reciprocated.
