EDT~ep 2. 24.10.17. My Stance.. Enshrined in my heart..
Ones with sane minds, even over a passage of time, do hold memories of special people, special events in their hearts and minds. One's memory plays quite an important role in one's life and serves to establish personal pertinent connections between peoples past , present and future lives. One's memory can dwindle or fade away accordingly with age ,or due to traumatic medical conditions. Memory loss can be gradual, or partial and in this day and age, health services offer a regime of support systems to aid patients. To me today's episode is a step forward into gathering further information about Sharanya's partial memory loss and the two accidents that caused it in the first place.
The episode is an admixture of scientific explanations, support systems in place for Sharanya and the way forward for her loved ones.. and yes there is the sorry figure of Vyom who is committed to his memory of loving Sharanya. We see him receive the answer to his prayers, in an out of coma Sharanya. But he along with her family soon realize that Sharanya's awakening is not whole but only partial as far as her mind goes..its partly incomplete. Its near tragic for her family to see that Vyom now forms the oblivion section of Sharanya's mind... but within Vyom's heart and mind she is frozen as his beloved! the girl he loved, lost and only just regained.. only to lose her again!!!
He's claimed her from jaws of death, no way in his sane mind will he let go off her now! there is something ominous in the air. The dark night, the shadows, the roof top, the swarm of frenzied bats flying around is nothing short of black magic! Then comes the nasty shock, when Sharanya has no clue as to who he is? Physically she pushes him off! no she knows no Vyom! His fall from the edge of the roof , hanging precariously is symbolically facing the deadly truth she has erased him from her memory! Symbolically his hauling himself from death, shows he is a fighter! He will not let go off his life that easily! He will fight the world! Even her! to get back the woman he loves! An apparition watches.. and fades out when Vyom scrambles to safety..
Sharanya, has lost her senses! She's like a scared frenzied animal running for cover.. Vyom runs behind her.. could she be running from him? the girl recognizes her parents.. flashes of memory plague her. her father injured in an accident..but alive! The girl has revived from her coma, yet is at a loss to comprehend what's going around her?? But one thing we can make out she recognizes her parents,even her pet dog ! but not Vyom. The man her parents see as her beloved.. one wonders why she fails to make out the special connection Vyom feels for her?? The doctor in a nut shell goes through with the family about her partial memory loss.. brought about by two accidents and the trauma caused to the brain!
Vyom face reflects the pain his heart undergoes. Love here is wrestling with her medical condition. It's interesting , how he is in full form to do his bit to bridge the gap of those years that baffle both Sharanya and her family. Vyom becomes the person to provide the link of Sharanya's lost three years..as he knows the campus life they spent together .. those memories where their bond progressed from being mates, to becoming two people who loved each other.. Really , he becomes the therapeutic support system for her condition.. its interesting that he has her full parental support in restoring her memory loss. The Bishts think of Vyom as a huge moral support, and trust him entirely. All have faith in him except Sharanya,for her he is some stranger! But Vyom too is adamant he will battle to make his place in her life..
They say animals can sense evil spirits, the family's pet dog ,again that Sharanya is familiar with.. smells a ghostly presence pass by the suddenly flung open window. A shadow passes by to remind us of extraordinary occurrences .
Vyom takes Sharanya down memory lane ,awkwardly at first, then soon gets into the flow of things.. how they met on campus.. she listens to his memories ,he uses to find signs of himself in them. He strikes an emotional cord how music and lyrics made them soul mates.. how he sang his heart out to the words that came out of her heart..some bitty flash backs come to her. he reminds her of the fine day they proposed to each other, taking their relationship a step further.. they how the near miss death accident happened when they were en route to give her parents the good news!.. and then there was a living silence from her for many years till now.. but even now she is blank..Vyom cannot accept it !how can she not know him?? he is her Vyom ..but the truth is Sharanya does not know him from Adam, she tells him to back off! He can fool her parents! but his act cannot fool her! she literally pushes him out of the room and shuts the door! and him out of her life!! with powerful words that love is connected to the heart! The mind forgets! but the heart never forgets! her heart feels nothing for him!!
She is committed to his memory.She has passed him into oblivion, but if his memory serves him right she will always be the one for him! The Bishts are upset by the treatment Vyom is meted out. Yet Vyom is committed and determined to win her whole self back..he even talks about doing away with his past memories with her.. let them go. He'll make her fall in love again and make new moments ,instead of jogging their forgotten love story.. he says, the only thing old left , is their bond of love itself. In fact he assures her parents, he is for real!! not one to disappear ,in a puff of smoke! They'll see he will gradually set his mark upon Sharanya ,in a way, that it will never been worn off! Basically to me, he is not sure of the timescale it will take her to revive her bygones ,with him.. hence the hurry! whatever it takes, he'll adopt that method. In fact Vyom is so insecure about her that like a dutiful son he sends her parents home,so he can watch over Sharanya...in the hospital, madly in love..
Its night time, a lot goes through his mind, his heart suffered a jolt he never thought about even in his wildest dreams ,that her Vyom for Sharanya would become a muffled distant cry in the past.. one who knows love..is killed by love..?
Sharanya watches him from inside her ward cabin window.. who is he ? he claims and sounds like someone deeply in love with me.. but how come I feel nothing, nothing for him, odd ,he vouches I loved him, then why in heaven's name her heart whispers nothing? her attention strays from him to a bright light on her widow pane ..then a palm appears, the lights blink she screams!!uncanny... unreal! I have to say both Donal and Vikram were adding more life to their roles.. as characters I have empathy for both, must be horrid to be forgotten.. and frustrating for the other to be told she's lost count of five years of her life! Have to say, am mighty impressed by the dialogues in the episode.. yes was disappointed by not seeing Namik.. hope tomorrow he shows up. Precap .. looks like our Sharanya has seen a ghost!!
