So, like most of you, the inference of Neil that Mishti is ''his beti'' has left a sour taste in my mouth. While I do know, regardless of any of our legit theories, it is the CV's discretion at the end of the day to reveal things at their perusal (legit or frivolous, doesn't seem to matter), the rationale that dwells in my mind still prompted me to come up with the following.
Please feel free to add whatever you want to.
Why Neil cannot be the father of Mishti?
Point 1:
The most basic one of all-- Neil remembers Zilch from the night he got intimate with Juhi, as again, ''allegedly'' claimed by Juhi.
He has no memory whatsoever as he was high on champagne and so was Juhi, and all he remembers is, he woke up the next morning, and went to sleep in his own room.
This being an Indian daily show, is obvious that they won't let Neil Khanna state if he was practically naked when he woke up in the morning or fully or partially clothed, lest that would have solved our mystery to a great extent. But nonetheless, bottom line here is, he technically doesn't remember much from the night Mishti was ''allegedly'' conceived.
Point 2:
Juhi is Guru Maa's ''KOHINOOR''
Let's face it! She isn't a hoor-pari, who makes people go lattoo over her. Then what is it that made her the KOHINOOR of Rang Mahal, and gave her ultra-privileges, like having a phone, remain untouched, and have a special treatment?
It is not that GM is bisexual that she had a thing for Juhi, and hence, deemed her to be her Kohinoor, and since ''Dhandha chalte rehna chahiye'' also made her a part of the dancers' bandwagon.
What does fit in is, maybe this Kohinoor has had some special place in her son's life, or this Kohinoor is the mother of her grandchild?
Point 3
Vidyut hates women.
But he loves his Mom!
He says women are weak and also not trustworthy. That coming from a man who loves his mother immensely is plausible only when a woman broke his heart or hoodwinked him. A woman he had ''romantic'' feelings for and who might have betrayed those emotions on trust.
In that case, if Juhi was the woman he had feelings for, chances are high, Mishti is his child with her.
Point 4
Vidyut is Mishti's father on paper.
Now why would a murderer, trafficker, who has zilch respect for humanity do that?
Just because he may have some ethics on ''Oh, I don't kill cute 5 year olds!'' ?
Or because, he does have some blood connection with Mishti, making him be protective of her, but his basic nature of being a badass refrains him from showing it openly to her.
Point 5
Vidyut has Mishti's custody
Again! Why does anything of Juhi have to be with Vidyut?
There were other girls in RM too, then why did Juhi's offspring end up at Vidyut's and why is he so stringent on keeping her with him?
Point 6
Mishti calls Vidyut ''Sir''
Could it be because he hates the term ''Dad?''
RP had murdered her own hubby, and maybe Vidyut hated his dad too and hence, doesn't himself want to be addressed as one?
OR he tries hard to hate Mishti, her being a constant reminder of Juhi's betrayal, and hence bars her from calling him dad, but in front of the world, he does accept he is her ''baap?''
His dialogue ''Kaunsa baap apni beti ko naa kahega.'' has some emotion in them.
Point 7:
Juhi's death was faked.
GM had said to Juhi, ''Uss din tu kisi aur se milne jaa rahi thi.'' for the day her accident drama was set up.
This statement is in itself conveying that Juhi was known to GM from way before and vice versa? Which means, a possible connection between Vidyut and Juhi from beforehand is also possible. In that regard, it is also very much possible that Mishti is Vidyut and Juhi's child.
Point 8:
Neil referring to Mishti as ''Uss bachi'' and ''Juhi ki bachi'' up until today when he called her ''Meri beti''
Maybe he is himself in a dilemma and not able to showcase it for now, not even to Avni, that's why been keen on keeping a close watch on RP, and saying, if she dies she won't be of any use to him! Maybe, he is waiting to question her once she wakes up, so that his doubts aren't fanned further and he can know for sure if Juhi is lying or speaking the truth.
Point 9:
The MOST obvious. If Neil is actually Mishti's father-- what is even the purpose of Vidyut's entry in the show?
Just to take his Dugga Dugga Maa back with him?
Nah, I don't think a swagger villain is here just for that!
Time for COUNTER ARGUMENTS:
Why Mishti can be Neil's baby?
For point 1:
Maybe, the oh-so-vague-in-Neil's memory night did result in him transferring something into Juhi's system that made an embryo named Mishti pop inside Juhi's tummy!
Like Neil had once said to Avni, ''Aisi cheeze bass ho jati hai.''
But to me, it would still be weird, NOT remembering such a big thing at all. But again, it is not implausible.
For point 2:
Maybe Guru Maa did find Juhi to be her Kohinoor, because she is oh-so-beautiful and Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe too are nothing in front of her! That's why Juhi got all the special privileges in RM.
Maybe Juhi's faith in god struck a chord with Guru Maa, who is herself an ardent devotee of Durga Maa?
And when Juhi was pregnant with Neil's child, she let her have the baby, only to blackmail her to stay back at RM and glorify her lustre (the kohinoor that she is) because after all, isn't Juhi drop dead gorgeous and BEAUTIFUUUL?
For point 3:
Maybe Vidyut seriously has no logical reason behind his hate for women and all in all, is actually a ''sanki'' as Karam described him to be. So, there's a possibility there was no heartbreak or whatever, but maybe he had taken a liking for Juhi and when he found out she was carrying someone else's child, he took his sweet revenge by taking that child away from her.
For point 4:
Maybe, despite his hate for Juhi, he can't hate her child, and hence, despite knowing her father is someone else, he is still giving her shelter.
(Though going by his character sketch, this seems highly unlikely!)
For point 5:
Maybe it is his perennial revenge on Juhi for betraying him (?) that he wants to separate her from her child forever, and hence, has her custody, lying to the world that he is her dad and he's a single parent!
For point 6:
Correlating with the above, he wouldn't allow Mishti to call him ''Papa'' or ''Dad'' because he simply isn't one! Someone else is her father.
For point 7:
Maybe GM was just a stalker, her heart all cupid-struck as she daydreamed after seeing Juhi one fine day on the roadside and made up her mind that she will be her KOHINOOR, and thus, set up the whole accident thingy!
For point 8:
Maybe Neil is just confused like hell, and thus, without thinking uses ''Us bachi'' ''Meri bachi'' ''Juhi ki bachi'' as and when he pleases like whatever! đ
For point 9:
Maybe Vidyut is here just to showcase his classy suits, new haircut, and damn good background music, since the PH was anyway repeating all old stuff on the leads otherwise? đ
