BARC Ratings Week - 41

For months together Hindi channels had some stabilized positions in terms of market share and viewership. But last couple of months it looks as if magical chairs are being played at a rapid speed.😆

One week Colors becomes top channel in urban region throwing away SP to 4th place, next week Zee is in top pushing Colors to 3rd, immediate week Sony pushes Zee down to 4th, now Colors is back to top.. Does that indicate Indian households are no longer that much loyal to a show or a channel and are having too many choices on their plate, (other than cricket and festive seasonal impacts on their preferences) ?? While such tough competition between GEC's to secure top position in rating charts is good as they won't be laid back, it also has some adverse effects if every week channel programming or biz heads try to finger and modify content, cast or branding of their shows..😳
