😆uff! ye suspense. Waiting on next part.

Avni was successful in pushing Neil away but the bullet hit her. It doesn't harm her that much as it just passed through her shoulder. But the force was much so she fall on the ground.
She was about to hit her head when Neil caught her on time.

"Avni!" Neil screamed.

"Avni, tumne ye kya kiya. Koi ambulance bulao. DD, car nikalo. Fast." Neil said and carried Avni in the car.

But before leaving he ordered other police officers to call the ambulance and take Raghav to the hospital and arrest all his men. And called DD to take Bachhi with them.

They went straight to the hospital. Neil constantly calling out Avni's name in order to keep her awake. She was struggling to keep her eyes open but although she tried.

In the Hospital:

"Doctor, please attend her soon. She has already lost a lot of blood." Neil said calling out to the doctor.

"Sorry, but this is a police case and I am not the one for this type of injury." The doctor said.

"I am the ACP, we will take care of it and please call the appropriate doctor.. please." Neil requested the doctor.

"Okay you wait outside, the doctor is coming." The doctor said and the ward boy took Avni to the ICU.

Neil was not letting her go but he was not allowed in the ICU, so at last he stayed out.

After half an hour, the red light turned off and a doctor around Neil's age came out, removing his mask.

"Doctor, is she okay? Injury jyada deep toh nahi hai na? Kab Tak hosh as jaega use?" Neil bombarded the doctor with the questions.

"She is okay. She will be fine by tommorow. And who are you to her?" The doctor asked.

"I am her husband." Neil said.

The doctor felt weird because he saw Avni not wearing any wedding band or any thing but she was in wedding dress.. But he let go of the thought.

"Please, complete the formalities and you can meet her once she wakes up." The doctor said and went away with a smile.

"Okay and Thank you." Neil said to no one. Because by that time doctor was gone.

Neil waited for Avni to wake up till morning. Because the Nurse did not allow him to go inside the ICU.

Next Morning:

Avni slowly opened her eyes and saw a familiar face. She smiled at him.

"Hey, Tu sahi mein nahi badli. Khud ko musibat mein daalna teri bachpan ki aadat hai. Or tujhe bachana mera farz." The doctor said with a big smile.

"Jab tak tu hai mujhe pata hai mujhe kuchh nahi ho sakta. Waise tu yahan kya kar rha? Mujhe inform bhi nahi kiya tune." Avni said faking anger.

"Arey baba sorry. I just came yesterday. And the doctor said about your case. By the way who is that guy who brought you here and waiting for you to wake up. Aisa lag rha hai wo ICU mein hai. Or wo khud ko tera husband kyun bata rha? Tujhe dekh k lag toh nahi rha ki shaadi puri hui hogi." The doctor questioned Avni.

"Tujhe sab bataungi. But abhi nahi. Abhi mere se explain nahi hoga it a lamba story. And right now I don't want to meet him." Avni said with sad face.

Neil who was listening to all this conversation was at first confused on their friendly behavior and later on got hurt when Avni said she doesn't want to meet him.

"Avni, I m really sorry." Neil finally said coming into the room.

Avni was shocked and turned her face to see Neil. But then composed herself.

"Akash, mujhe abhi rest karna hai. I don't want to meet anyone." Avni said to the doctor.

"Okay. You take rest and if you need anything just tell the nurse. I will be visiting you frequently." Dr. Akash said and moved to Neil.

"Hey Man, let's go out. She doesn't want to see anyone." He said to Neil.

"And who are you to order me? I am her husband and I have right to meet her." Neil said with an attitude.

"Sorry, but I think you are not yet married coz she doesn't have any wedding band." Dr said to Neil.

"She is my Wife damnit. And I have to talk to her. So please move aside." Neil was getting angry. He has to apologise to Avni.

"Listen, I am the doctor. And right now the patient doesn't want to meet anyone. So, please wait outside. And cooperate with us, otherwise we have to call the security." Dr. Said.

"Will you be able to throw out the ACP himself?" Neil finally said showing his ACP attitude.

Akash was shocked and Avni was suppressing her laughter watching her best friend and husband arguing. She has forgiven Neil but she wants him to feel sorry. She was hurt when he left her at the alter. Although she knows that the reason behind that must be serious but still she was hurt. And Neil has to work hard to get her forgiveness.

And from that time, Neil's "Avni Manao" plan started but the main hurdle was Dr. Akash who happens to be Avni's best friend and this information was unknown to Neil. And he was getting all jealous of the new doctor. As Avni was all the time talking to him sweetly and ignoring Neil.

A/N- I am ending this here. Everything is and will be fine between AvNeil. I just made the new entry of Avni's childhood friend whom she met after she got shot by DVM. And i have heard a lot about Akash 'a mysterious child' who helped Avni getting her out of the river. I don't know the sources but i have heard that on this forum only. So i made his entry. Plus to make Neil jealous for Avni is better with his childhood friend rather than some villain who objectifies and hate women (Although he is hot😆).And I also know you all can imagine the further story. As this was suppose to be a drabble, so I don't want to extend it anymore. Thank you everyone for reading this story. I will be back with my other stories update..
