Karan Johar's Brahmastra has been in the
limelight for a long time now. A lot had been
earlier spoken and written about the film's
title as it was called Dragon. Just three days
back, the ace filmmaker Karan Johar who is
producing the film has revealed the title of
the same which is Brahmastra. The movie is
a trilogy and will have Ranbir Kapoor, Alia
Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead
roles and will be directed by Ayan Mukerji.
The announment said, "Dharma Productions
is proud to announce one of its most
ambitious films Ayan Mukerji's directorial
venture We embark a journey into the realm
of a fantasy adventure series which will be a
trilogy Collaborating on this exciting journey
with us is Fox Star Studios and Namit
Malhotra. We are honoured to have Mr.
Amitabh Bachchan lead our cast along with
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The first part
of our big screen spectacle will release on
August 15, 2019. And we finally have a title
BRAHMASTRA."
Now, a report in a leading daily claim that
the movie is made on a budget over INR 100
crore. If the report is to be believed, then it
would be Karan Johar's most expensive film.
A source told the daily, "Karan plans to go
big with Brahmastra. He has asked the team
not to worry about the budget. KJo
understands that a superhero film needs a
mounting of a certain stature."
"The approximate budget of the film is
expected to be over Rs 100 crore, which
also means that Brahmastra will be KJo's
biggest film till date, budget wise. Previously,
he had planned to make Shuddhi on a scale
like this but it didn't work out," the source
added.
