Who were/are the most successful star sons in their careers?

Rishi Kapoor

Sanjay Dutt

Sunny Deol

Raj Kapoor has been the most successful star son of all times. He was son of Prithviraj Kapoor.

Shashi, Shammi, Rishi Kapoor have also been very successful. So has Sunny Deol.

Sanjay Dutt would have managed to achieve a lot more if he had not ruined himself in drugs, crimes.

Ranbir doesn't come close to any of the above yet. Let his career progress further before he can be judged in comparison to other star sons of past.

Bobby Deol did well in 90s but can't be called a successful starson.

Hrithik has been most successful starson in modern era.

I think Sunny Deol is the most successful star son that ruled BW at one point like his dad.

Otherwise, Raj Kapoor & HR. Hrithik was technically a star-son even though his Dad was perceived to be a B-grade actor & tasted sctusk success turning a producer & director.. How funny life is. Who would've thought a B-grade actor's son would turn out to be the most handsome actor BW had seen in nearly 2 decades & become a superstar! 😆 😆

Star sons means only the actors whose parents were also actors??

Raj Kapoor definitely then. I guess Shammi Kapoor was also more popular than his dad. Shashi and Rishi too were successful. Sunny Deol was not as successful as Dharmendra, but came pretty close in matching with the popularity. Hrithik became much more successful than his dad, but Rakesh Roshan was really a star in the first place.

Bobby Deol was like Emraan and Saif. Bankable but never got a Superstar status.

Sanjay Dutt's career has been very inconsistent. He had the fan-following but never became that big because of his real life troubles. Ranbir hasn't got the Superstar tag yet, so he's not as successful as his dad.

1B) Hrithik Roshan

Both have been legit superstars and number 1's for extended periods giving massive blockbusters. Both have been over looked and underrated due to the Khans. Both are boring as hell people with no personality.

Was Hrithik's debut awaited? I don't know anything about those days since i was a kid but i know that how keen were people to see Abhishek enter the movie industry.

Hrithik is the only superstar since 2 decades now, i think varun can be the next one if he continues his successful streak.
