The only good thing about the trailer was the background score. It's been playing in my head for the past couple of days

Nothing else worked for me. The trailer has a lot of wide angle shots that is unnecessarily inserted and just passes on without conveying anything to the viewer. Not a well cut trailer in my opinion.

And oh yes, Deepika's looks were a disappointment. I knew she was going to look bad after I saw the posters. She has no ethereal godess-like beauty as one would expect from a Padmavati where multiple kings fought wars to get to her.

Her Mastani avatar would have suited for Padmavathi a lot better. She looked angelic there

I liked it.

But even though Khilji was a ruthless conqueror, he was not as barbaric as portrayed in the trailer. He was well groomed and civil in all appearances. Genghis Khan on the other hand was actually unkempt and barbaric in his habits. Maybe they mixed up conquerors during their research.
