Hey ppl! I here with another Rikara SS! I actually found this writing prompt on Pinterest and decided to write a story on it. I hope you will enjoy it 😳

Blurb- Gauri and Omkara, the BFFs make a promise to marry each other if they won't find their perfect matchs till they are 27. But unknown to Gauri her bff is already in love with her and the deal sends him on a mission to sabotage every rationahip Gauri would have.. 😉

Omkara was never good at consolations..he never had any idea what to do when someone was pouring their heart out to you in form of nonstop flowing of tears. But this time it was different. This time he wanted to rip the heart of the person who made her cry...who made his Gauri cry.
His own hear was clutched in the claws of unbearable pain as he heard her hushed sobs. He wanted to just run to her and engulf her tiny body into a bear hug and take away all her tears.

"Gauri, please stop crying. You know how much I hate it when you cry," He said.

Gauri, who's head was buried into her lap rose it up to look at him with red and swollen eyes.

"I don't understand Om, why? Why do he have to cheat on me? We were so happy together.." her was was broken and bruised.

"He never deserved you," Omkara said. because I do..

"B-but I really liked him..." she managed to say, breaking into sobs again. This time Om couldn't help it and hugged her as they stood below the light of thousand stars.

"Do you want me to beat him for you? You know I can always do that..I can take Rudy with me too, though it won't be necessary as my dole are enough for that pimp," he tried to joke and was successful too as Gauri chuckled lightly. He always knew how to make her smile.

"N-no..I don't want my best friend to get into trouble because of some mosquito like him..," Gauri though tears still rolling down her eyes, giggled as she wrapped her arms around him.

"You know what Om? I don't think I will every find my soul mate...when I'll grow old I'll became one of those old women to stay alone with 30 cats," Gauri sighed.

"Gauri, just because one relationship failed you can't say that your will never find your perfect match. I am sure that there is someone who will love you like crazy, waiting you. And each of your heartbreak will just bring him one step closer to you," Omkara forced a smile on his face as he said in wrecked voice coated masterfully with sweetness. if only you could see Gauri that it's me..it has always been me..

"I wish.." Gauri said looking up at the starts.

They stood there for minutes, holding each other. The moment was just took perfect for Om. Just how much he wished that he could hold her like this forever, keep her close to his heart. The thought alone was so beautiful. But soon the truth hit him like a wreaking ball. He wasn't her lover, he was just her friend. Her best friend. Someone she loved but wasn't in love with. What a bittersweet feeling it was.

"Om?" Gauri muttered, breaking his trail of thoughts.

"Hmm?"

"I was watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S today," she said.

"Hmm,"

"So..you know what phoebe said to Rachel? That Ross is her backup," she said.

"What's backup?" Om asked.

"Backup is when two friends make a deal that if they don't find their perfect match till a certain age, they'll marry each other," Gauri replied casually.

OM's heart skipped a beat. He knew she was probably joking but he could help his heart from busting with extreme joy. Did she really mean..?

"S-so?" Just as much tempting as it was he didn't want to assume things, then feel down and miserable.

"So..um..nothing. You will think I am stupid," Gauri said nervously.

"No I won't I promise! Now ask.." his voice was almost desperate.

"Ok..so will you be my backup?" Gauri asked.

Omkara grinned.

"Really?"

"Yeah..so will you?" Gauri asked.

"Yes..I would love to be your back up," now Omkara knew what exactly he had to do now...he didn't have to find her way to her, he had to make his way to her..to make her his..even if that means sabotage every relationship she would have.
