But being a police officer he should know giving his name would make him the child's legal Guardian...the child in future can claim legal right from him

This is just so idiotic. He's going to lie to AVNI of all people that the child is his to save juhi's self-respect? Does he not trust avni enough to owe the truth to her? He knows all too well that if he told avni the truth about juhi's child she would be juhi's biggest supporter and help her all the more, which she has already proved during the RM track, so how on earth does he have the nerve to lie to her that he had a child out of wedlock with juhi, instead of telling her that the child isn't hers and that juhi was raped?
