Part 22 : Awkwardness
"Haan I lost the key by misplacing it somewhere and since then we didn't find it!"
"Oh" was all that left Chakor while Suraj got into the thinking mode.
"For sure that baby would be cute! Isn't it Vivuuu" and Imli stopped as she pointed at a stressed Girija standing outside the storeroom.
"Mausi! What are you doing outside? Weren't you"
"Is there a harmer inside the storeroom?" Suraj questioned interrupting Vivaan.
"Bro" saying this Vivaan turned from Imli to Girija to Imli as in a slow motion with his index finger pointed towards the storeroom room.
"Harmer?" Chakor repeated that word of Suraj's in a questioning way.
"Di!" It was Imli's turn to copy Vivaan's actions, making Girija to shake her head seeing the childish behaviors of the would-be couple.
"I don't know if there is anything like that inside but I think" scratching her forehead as she continued "your father was going to call the carpenter today."
"When he will come and when we will go out!" Suraj murmured.
"Wasn't they already got"
"Stuck somewhere!" Vivaan completed the silent line of Imli's.
"Vivaan!"
"Haan bro!"
"Call Dad and ask when the carpenter is coming!"
"Hmm haan! Doing!" as he got his phone out of his pocket.
"Di! Are you okay? Nothing happened to you naa?" Imli approached the door.
"Noo no Imli! You don't get worried, I'm faaAchoum" as Chakor closed her mouth with both hands.
"She is all good!" as he neared her and held her hand which was rubbing her eyes while the two human beings were tensed on the other side of the door.
"Sura"
"Chupp" removing her hand as she closed tight her eye which got affected by the powder from her head.
Tilting her head on her right, holding her cheek in his hand, opening her eye a bit, he did the blowing treatment she did him few minutes back.
"Keep your hands down!" he said pushing the raised hand of hers.
'Just a bit down and you can plant a kiss there!'
'Wowowowo isn't it too much what you are asking for, dear heart?'
'What? He can that it's just by mistake or accept that he likes her after that!'
'You are thinking that you are clever?'
'I'm clever!' his heart in an angry tone.
'I seee!'
"Thanks!" she said as he released her face.
'He is useless!'
'You are the one!' his mind retorted his heart.
"Take it as a help for help!" 'See! He doesn't even know what to say at what time! How am I going to make him a married man! Ohhh pooor me!' 'Ouuufff! I have had enough of your ranting!'
"Huh?" turning to his side completely "You see what you said?" 'You see, she is asking the same question as me!' his heart in pride "Are you really the man who is the responsible for the whole Rajvanshi companies and branches and etc etc?"
"Why that research now?"
"It's just to see if I'm not talking to a child who returns gifts for gifts and punches for punches!"
"You"
"Bro!" Luckily Vivaan's voice interrupted the battle of words which was going to start "You need to break that window on the top of the wall to get out if you don't want to wait for hours inside." he said it all in one go, holding his breath without his knowledge until he left it.
Without saying a word, Suraj started to move around the storeroom, searching for something.
Something to break the glass.
"What are you searching?" she asked as she saw him making the storeroom a playground.
"Got it!" as he showed a baseball bat with a big smile plastered on his lips.
'Smiling as if he got the best husband award! Hmmm!' his heart.
'You need to grow up dude! Don't compare everything with what you want.' his mind.
Seeing him climbing on the tables, moving chair on it, she got what he is up to.
"Go on that side and before that, ask Vivaan to bring a strong rope on the other side of the wall!" instructing her, he got on the chair.
She did what she was asked and stood on the corner as she observed his movements.
Vivaan ran to the place indicated by Girija and got the needed rope as they all made their way when they hear glass breaking sound.
"Are you okay?" he turned towards Chakor.
"Hmmm" she nodded.
"Come!" he forwarded his hand to her as she went near the place where he was and took his hand as she climbed on the table.
"Bro!" Vivaan called from other side "Catch!" and threw the rope which Suraj caught on the right time.
"Help her!" he said in a warning tone to his brother as he turned to Chakor and asked her to climb on the chair.
"Hold me!" he instructed her as he lift her as she pressed her hands on his shoulder with their body in their own contact as she took hold of the iron rod on the side of the large window.
Pulling her up, lifting her on her legs, she got to sit on the small place on the window frame.
"You?" she questioned seeing him.
"You go!" he said her with a nod and she turned the other side, putting both her legs outwards, held the rope and made it safely down with everyone's help.
Suraj jumped on the chair, held the same rod, leaving the rope on its place, pulling out his whole body on the other side, he jumped down as the echo of his name echoed in the surrounding.
"All good! All good!" he said as he saw his brother and everyone near him as he pushed away the grass and mud on his vest and pants.
Everyone calmed as he made it clear and they all went inside and settled in the hall as Imli went to bring water while Vivaan ordered lunch from outside and Girja went to thank god that her children are safe.
"Thank you!" she said as they were the only ones to be there.
He smiled but the smile vanished as the light of his thoughts fell on his words and actions in the storeroom.
As the color changed on his face, she frowned but the moment their eyes met, the awkwardness which didn't appear during their short moments of closeness made a big appearance. And the silence prevailed as both diverted their eyes from each other.
As Chakor was going to get up, her action was interrupted by her sister's word:
"Water!" with a smile.
As both got their hands to take it from their respective side, their hands touched and current passed as both retrieved it without doing what they were going to do i.e. take the water.
"Imli!" Hearing Vivaan, Imli's concentration shifted to that direction "Di! I will come!" as she left the tray on the table and speeded to the reach her man while two hearts was beating in the awkwardness which went unnoticed by the little sister.
'Why this awkwardness?' Chakor's mind questioned her.
