I find tv better cos tv celebs work so hard. Every day they shoot for episodes and have to be entertaining in every one. Whereas in movies the celebs only are there onscreen for few hours and then it's done they're judged based on that. Tv celebs work like hell imo and don't really get any respect on this forum and only bollywood celebs are praised which isn't right.
Yes and people want fresh faces unlike movies where star power does count. Most TV protagonists are in the 18-35 age range. Every story starts with an 18-25 year old girl. So, you can't have the same faces playing these characters in a show that airs daily.
I actually feel bad for TV actors at times 'cause they are ghar ki murgi daal barabar when compared to BW actors despite there not being a huge gulf in terms of talents or looks (since it matters).
TV actors know this too which is why they always try to transition to movies.
