I could write an essay about why Saumya is better every day of the week. There was chemistry, they had a story, and most importantly they were fun to watch. She is fit into every scene and wasn't forced into the story line. To make his new FL work they destroyed Rudra's entire character and killed the whole vibe of the show. Shivaay is dumbed down, she is telling everyone want to do, she is literally everywhere all the time minus when she is on vacation.
The most annoying part is that Rudra literally has no life/story other than following her around where she goes. She is set up as this mature character, but she is more childish than he is. She goes around calling him a kid, but can't handle when he calls her old 😆 What a double standard. She places judgement on him, but doesn't like it when its done to her. She acts like she is his wife then legit agrees to marry another dude because she was told to. She is rubbing cake face with him and sharing a room with him, but how dare he make a joke about her age. Is this supposed to be angsty? Am I supposed to feel bad for either of them? Because I don't. The whole thing is contrived and borderline trippy with all the constant jumps in the story. It's her profession that their core conflict then now it's her age. I laugh while reading the written updates. She is bipolar. Rudra is bipolar. The family is bipolar. She is family and the fake bahu then she disappears during a wedding to get married herself yet no one cares 😆 When they announced the whole ACP during DBO I was excited then they made a joke of the character and the profession. Good luck to the writers for trying to recreate Shivkara and Saumya equation with her because if the girl gang is any indication it will be next to impossible.
The epic fail of the writing and story isn't the actress's fault. She got handed a bad character and an inconsistent story with no foundation. Family scenes she doesn't really fit. She brings down the whole mood because the writing is too forceful. It's like there is an giant neon sign over her head that says "Rudra's new lead accept her because she is here to stay" but the opposite happened.
FYI, this is a public forum. We don't all have to like the same characters and pointing out the flaws in the story or character isn't a crime. If you like her then good. If you don't then you should be able to say so.
