Rani Mukerji, who started her illustrious Bollywood career in 1997, is touted as one of the most celebrated actresses in Bollywood and deservedly so. The actress has movies like Black, Hum Tum, Saathiya, Yuva and Mardaani under her kitty and her stunning performances have garnered her a ton critical and commercial acclaim.
While speaking to a leading daily, Rani got candid about her 20-year Bollywood journey and said, "It's been quite a learning process actually because, at the start, I didn't want to be an actor. So, for a person who didn't want to be an actor to someone who has completed 20 years or two decades, you can imagine how much I must have learnt through my journey."
She added, "I also got an opportunity to work with Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir Khan in my first three films; and my learning started when I saw them put in the kind of hard work they do. It has been a huge learning experience for me because with every film, every director and every actor, you learn something new regardless of whether the film works at the box office or not."
On how cinema is today, the actress revealed, "It's amazing how cinema has changed in so many different ways in the last couple of decades. We are going through a wonderful time wherein there is a lovely mix. So just to see different kind of filmmakers and technicians working together, teaming up and learning from them has been quite an enriching journey."
