Revelations
Maan followed her outside the Palace. It was the first time he had gone out of that place. "Ghosty, do you feel better now, He heard her speak. "What do you mean, He asked. "You looked sad ghosty, so I thought may be the fresh air will help you feel better, She said. "I..I was not sad ...you don't need to worry about me, He tried to cover up. "Ah, forget about that, so ghosty did you recall anything from your past life, She asked diverting the topic mentally cursing the stubborn ghosty who won't even thank her for her concern. "I don't recall anything ...I tried but nothing ...only a girl ...who resemb..., Before he could complete he was cut short by a curious Geet.
"Wow, ghosty so you did have a girlfriend despite this attitude, I pity the poor girl, She laughed. "What do you mean by that...are you trying to make fun of me, He glared. "Nah, just pitying your poor girlfriend, She grinned.
"Forget it, I'm not telling you anything nor I'm leaving that house, He yelled doing his vanishing act again. "Here we go again...Alright ghosty come back, I won't pity your girlfriend again, Geet said. "Better, She heard the ghosty again and turned back to find him standing there. "Oh so you were trying to play cool ghosty ...okay so you say you were a Prince hmm..., She asked and he nodded. "Well then we have a way to find out something about your past, She said. "Really, but how, He asked. "Leave that to me, She grinned.
"As we are out for the first time, so help me with the groceries, She said. "Hey that door opened by its own so are there other ghosts here too, Maan asked curiously.
"No ghosty, we are living in the era of technology, that door had sensors fitted which work as soon as anyone enters that door, She explained. "Oh, so you mean like magic, He asked curiously. "In your ancient language ...well you can say it is something like that, She said. "Alright, He said understanding a part of it. "Okay ghosty, I'm done with my grocery shopping so let's head to a place where we can find something about your past, She said. "Really you have places like that, He asked. She nodded and he followed. Geet could see the ghosty was like a curious kiddo as she had to tell him about everything he pointed at. They reached the National Library. "Woah this place is huge, are you sure they will have something about me in these books,He asked. "Shh, quiet ghosty, I can't answer your queries here ...but well for this query ...I think we should try, Geet said. She borrowed some ancient books her dad used to read and got back home thinking about reading those books after she had her tummy full. She cooked the diner and after having it along with ghosty she went to talk to her mom regarding this matter.
She summoned the spirits and the portal opened with her mom dad and granny appearing. "Daddy, its great that you are here today, I needed your help, Geet said."Sure dear what is it that you want,He asked. "Daddy, you see the ghosty here does not remember his unfinished business and since he keeps boasting about his royalty so I thought may be I could look up into some books to get an idea of his past so could you help me as you were a renowned archaeologist, She said. "Geet did you not ask him to recall his past life, usually the ghosties remember all that...its strange that he does not ...even recall his life, Her mom said. "Mom, he said he only remembers that he is a Prince, She told. "And you know Mom he can turn himself into a near human entity, She said narrating the incident. "Geet, then hes stuck in a timeline he was not supposed to be in ...it must be due to some spell casted upon him when he died or in his living, Her mom said. "We can ask him ...he must be knowing, Princess Geet suggested. "Who is him ...granny ...what are you guys thinking, Geet asked confused.
"Nothing Geet, we will tell you the next time. So is this ghost ready to leave after you help him, Her Mom asked not trusting the ghosties being a mediator once too. "Yes Mom, he will, he was really trying hard to recall today, Geet told. "Alright, do your best, Her dad said. "Granny, was grandfather a bad person, he married you forcibly right, Geet asked. "Aryan...no dear he loved me ...and gave me a good life..., The Princess lied not wanting her descendants to think bad about their ancestors. "Then granny, why he married you forcibly...did you love the other Prince, Geet threw another question. The Princess was quiet for a moment making Geet to think that she asked more than needed, "Its okay Granny, I'm sorry that I asked."I did, She smiled. "And that idiot loved his relative eww, Geet said making a face. "No dear, he did once ...but later ...I feel he was just confused...he was a really honest man, benevolent, brave and chivalrous. Don't misunderstand him. He never made any false promises to me ...it was just me who liked even his rude demeanor as I knew the kindness he hid under that rude mask, She smiled. "But Granny my mother said that he treated you badly and loved that other Princess, Pooja asked. "No dear he was rude but he never ill treated me like ..., She was again mum as she knew she would have spilled the beans. "Alright Granny, I will help you find a way to break this spell upon you too, Geet said.
"Alright dear, we must leave now, Her mom said. "Daddy, here see these books before you leave, Geet said showing the huge books. "Geet, I have many books in my personal library dear, you can ask your brother for them ...but for the time being these might help, He said. "Okay Daddy, that stupid ghosty is so particular about titles...seriously asking me to call him Prince Maan can you imagine, Geet complained.
"Maan..., The Princess uttered shocked. "Geet what did you say Prince Maan ...are you sure that is his name ..., Her mom Pooja asked shocked. "Yes Mom, positive as he says that is all that he can remember...but why are you guys shocked, Geet asked confused looking at the elders. "Because he was the Prince your granny was betrothed too, Her Mom revealed leaving Geet shocked and angered at the revelation. "Oh so he was that Prince oh ghosty you are surely going to die again for breaking my Granny's heart, She thought angrily planning on how to get back at the ghosty for breaking her ancestor's heart.
