How Barkha- Indraneil's love blossomed
Barkha Bisht, who plays Anupama in Doli Sajake Rakhna, is getting married to her long time boyfriend Indraneil Sengupta in March. As she prepares to sit in her Doli in real life, the actress spills the beans on her love journey.
"We have not fixed the date yet but we are getting married in the month of March for sure. Indraneil proposed me on my birthday last month and it came as a surprise. But it was the perfect birthday gift. I was not sure initially whether he will do it for not. But he actually went on his knees and proposed me. We have been going around for two years and everyone thought that it must have happened long back but when you are in relationship it is like an understanding," says Barkha.
On her reaction to the proposal, an emotional Barkha says, "He gifted me a diamond and platinum ring at my home and I started crying. I was so touched that I could not control myself. He was also shocked at my reaction and told me that it is ok if you do not want to marry me. Then I explained to him that I do want to marry you. It was a really great moment for me so I could not control my emotions."
Both of them informed their parents immediately after this. "My parents were really happy to hear this. However the decision of getting married is entirely ours. Thought Neil is Bengali, we will get married according to the normal Hindu rituals and not the Bengali way because the wedding normally happens as per the girl's traditions. His parents were fine with it."
Barkha says she is very tense about her shopping and shooting. "We both are very busy in our shoot so I am not getting any time for my shopping. But our parents have already started shopping. We have also informed Aroonaji (Irani) about our wedding plans so they are building a bank of episodes before we take leave. We really have to cover up this month as it is a daily show."
Any decision on honeymoon yet? "No. But it is definitely going to be a beach place for sure. I just love them; the atmosphere of the place and everything. I would love to go to Maldives. It's a great honeymoon spot," feels Barkha.
Barkha and Indraneil met on the sets of Pyar Ke Do Naam Ek Radha Ek Shaam two years back. However, they started seeing each other only after the serial went off air. The couple recently also participated in Nach Baliye 3.
