Did you really refuse to shoot when the director for Maayka was changed? Yes, Kamal Monga is a fantastic director, so it came as a shock when he was asked to quit. A new creative head has joined the show.. she's brought along her own team and got Kamalji out. But wouldn't your decision have led to huge losses for the production house? Look, I didn't stall the shoot. All I asked for was an explanation why Kamalji was sacked. Did you take this up with the chan- nel? I was told by the channel that if a production house promises better quality by replacing a director, the channel can't force it to retain the previous one. I've been told that Kamalji will be back. You got into the bad books of Zee earlier, when you refused to per- form at the Zee Rishton Ka Utsav. I got to know just two days before the show that I had to perform. I was not keeping well and the dates clashed with my other show – Hari Mirch Lal Mirch. Later, I got a call from Zee berating me for not being a part of the family. Neha Bamb said that you were probably home watching Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa. I was home because I wasn't well. Yes, I did watch TV. Neha and I won the Sisters Jodi Award. The next day, everyone in the unit congratulated me.. except Neha. Later, when I asked her for my trophy, she retorted that if I had cared so much about it I should have come for the ceremony. Did she call you for her wedding? Yes, she sent me an invite. She even called to say that she'd left the card with the EP. Perhaps she wants to be friends now? No, it was a mere formality. Neha isn't an innocent. Your co-star Vineet Raina believes he isn't getting his due in Maayka. I don't agree. Veer is an impor- tant character. We're a daily soap and tracks change. Is it true that you're the last one to leave the sets of Maayka? Yeah, I feel like a newcomer. I don't like using a body double, so I end up shooting a lot more than the others. Which is the one show you would- n't take up even if you were offered a million bucks? Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki. I was offered both the shows. I'd like to be known as a non-Balaji artiste. If you could slap one person and get away with it, who would that be? Rajesh Gupta who was my director in Hari Mirch Lal Mirch. He's a pervert!

I edited my post before and im doing it again.. seriously wht does she think of her selff?? I mean she's very straight forward n all buh tht doesnt give yu a right to say w/e yu wantt....Man yu shuld consider yur self luckyy coz our Princess sent yu an invitation.. if she wanted she culda jus been like No!... buh she's not yu.. and I think yu shuldnt be saying anything wid out knowing yur facts....*Srry no offence to any Shilpa Fans.*

Thanks for the article.

Shilpa is blunt and HONEST..tis a RARITY in the serial world...She doesn't "beat around the bush", she spoke her mind and why not!...tis a major step up from her character.

Some people expect nice things ie: words...comments...etc.. to be spoken during interview, but when a Star is blunt and honest, people automatically thinks they're "more than they seem", which is untrue. Honesty is the best policy, and if you have to be blunt to state it, then so be it.

Neha had her say during her interview (via her site) and now this is Shilpa's take, we should not be one to to judge who is right or wrong, since we were not there to see (the drama between the Shilpa and Neha) it happen....Tis my take on this...

I just hope things will resolve and both can be friends...they're great actresses and on-screen, work very well together (hence the award won)

Interesting and very straight to the point, I'm surprised nothing was "sugar-coated" as some I've read and heard. She should of also became a lawyer like her dad (I've read somewhere she decided to act, instead of going into the practice with her father)..Excellent Actress, no doubt would of made and equal excellent lawyer.

i like her straightforwardness! it's rare to see someone speak her mind so openly without bothering about stepping on anyone's toes.

some people may not like this attitude of shilpa's but i am fine with it. not because she's one of my favs but because she is not afraid to tell people what's on her mind.

she's a total red hot chilli yaar!😉😆😆 hehe.. even she said that veer is an important character & that tracks change. i'm glad she knows that she always can't be in the main focus of the serial and that she doesn't have any problems with it.😊

hey thanks for the article anishma 😊 .......i love shilpa for this!!!.....never have i seen such a straight-forward interview....hats off to her 👏 👏 👏 ......the lady calls a spade a spade......i'm tired of the interviews wherein evrything is diplomatic- "oh...she's the sweetest person i've met"....when ur really ready to strangle her and stuff....and i agree with scorpio rule.....shilpa's version hadnt been clear earlier......both may be right in their places.....cant blame anyone....hope to see more of her interviews in future 😳 😃

woah! This lady has some BAD attitude!

First, Why the **** are you lying??? If you have ever NOT accused Neha for throwing her trophee somewhere, this wouldnt happen miss. Your little trophee was with Zee Creative Team.

Second, feel yourself very lucky cause if Neha called you for formality and sent you an invitation, well she would have done it with her ex-co-star Iqbal Khan, to whom gave .... nothing.. but a slap. I don't think Neha had enough TIME to sent you a card and that also just for formality!

Third, who are you to say: " Neha isn't an Innocent? " Do you KNOW her? If you knew her, well she come on sets to WORK, not to care about your doings and your feelings. If you were EVER nice to her, Im sure, she would be the same.

Gosh ... You rarely get intention in media, next time talk about yourself 😃

Its good to be straight forward but there are some limits which you shouldnt cross 😉

Because now her fans will think that she is really cool and speaks her mind but other will think that she is a rude person with a crappy attitude.

She shouldnt have spoken like this....

Because:

Point One: She is bringing down other people which is REALLY rude and TOTALLY NOT cool! Its like she is teasing someone like a kid.

Point Two: She could lose her job which I think you Soni Fans wont be really happy with right?

I dont like her reaction towards everything... Neha wouldnt be firing BACK if Shilp fired first saying that Neha STOLE her trophy I mean why would she ... she already has one!Isnt it good to use some brains?
