It's all insane, but at least it was entertaining in the past. I used to look forward to binge-watching both shows on Friday, but now the screencaps on twitter have me skipping most of the episodes. I watched NB gang and Iceboxes for months, but I was never this bored or annoyed. There was no character butchering then for the most part lol.
The issue for me is not the happiness they are conveying. I went through three months of frustration and tears as the moronic way they did the separation played out, complete with the new entries of the Samar/Ragini pair, which I hated on sight. I am all for happiness, all for being an Ishqbaaz who is delirious at his good fortune. But its one thing to express his love in private, and be warm and wonderfully into her in public. But its how they are portraying Shivaay now, with the PDAs in front of Ruvya, or asking his Dadi and Dad to take part in a truly tone-deaf public attempt. This is not Shivaay. he is not a teenager, his love for her is not juvenile. Its deep, moody, intense, all-encompassing. He views her as his, and he does not share. This stuff going on now is below Rudy level. The PDAs is not in keeping with the man who is fiercely private, and who guards his woman with utter ferocity from others. I do not get the whole embarrass the girl into confessing in public thing they are doing as a wedding aspect here. How is a love confession anything BUT intimate? Seriously. Its character assasination, during what should be the happiest, most privately celebratory period of their lives.I'm not sure why the writers keep persisting with something that doesn't even garner them TRPs. Family moments should be about clothes, decorations, and wedding cards NOT love confessions or SR. Sadly, Shivika have become the family pass time.I have zero expectations for the wedding. I know from history the set decorations will be the best thing about it ๐ It would be nice if they brought Sahil back for his sister's wedding functions, but I'm not holding my breath. Shopping, picking outfits, and discussing wedding cards won't happen on this show. We won't see anything about the wedding organization like on other shows, which honestly is the fun part of shaadi tracks minus the clothes. The focus will switch to the family vs Svetlana. They cannot do a shortcut to the single more expected event of the series and think they will get TRPs. And they wont get TRPs because the wedding of the season is taking place as a BACKDROP to Peter Swami, a pair of keys and Svetlana selling a south indian look. You'd think after 21 failed attempts at mounting a decent wedding they would learn something.
