I've been thinking for a while. The price of being an heir to the throne of Lal Meha and royalty is dangerous and unbelievable high. Every single character has payed dearly for the position they have and wish to maintain or wish to achieve.
Lets start with Vatsalya, the kid who didn't love being caged and was forced in the position had to pay with his life.
Satrupa, the price was treachery by her husband and her new family, accepting an illegitimate son, giving away a daughter and loosing a son in the process. All for the honor and power that comes with the position she holds in the palace and in the business.
Pujan, he was willing to risk his son's. He is maniacal in my opinion. A truly dangerous person to everybody in Lal Mehal except for himself. Sure, his reasoning was logical enough. Satrupa would pull the trigger without warning if she knew. But what if he was wrong, what if Satrupa did indeed kill his son. Satrupa wouldn't dare play games with either of her children even in her dreams and here's a guy who gambled on his son's life. His only son. That shows the length he is willing to go for the position he craves. I liked his metaphor. He compared himself to rust. Steel doesn't destroy steel but rust does.
Now, Anami, Dadi risked her life to prove a point to herself. Again, Anami's life is at stake for merely proving her identity. It goes to show the extent of cruelty each royal family members are capable of, the lines that they can cross without even blinking their eye.
