A Day Without Him...
Get up Jaan. You'll get late for work.
She yawned, sitting straight on the bed. Merelt three hours sleep after a hectic day at office was surely not going to help getting off her tiredness. "Its all your fault." She muttered frowning.
*
Sweetheart, here you go with your favorite coffee.
She sighed, pouring the coffee in the mug settling on the dining table. As she sipped it, she remarked her own made coffee, "Yuckk."
*
Darling, I am so sorry. I am late, I know. Was struck in an important meeting. You missed me?
"I miss you like insane." She blurted wiping her eyes with her fingers when a few tears rolled down which were absolutely unexpected.
*
"Who is missing me?"
She looked up, at the door. Catching his image in her eyes, they twinkled in excitement but it was the next moment, she averted her gaze from him assuming that she was hallucinating him.
"Once you come back in real, I am going to hit you so much, like so much..." The frustration inside her came out with the throw of her phone on the floor.
"Oh my goodness. My wife is in tigress mode. I gotta run for my life." Chuckling, he stepped inside closing the door behind which finally made Anika realize that he was there for real.
"Shivaaay." She almost made a marathon speeded run to him crossing whatever the little distance was between them and threw her arms around his neck. Holding his sobbing wife in his embrace, he landed a few kisses on her forehead and cheeks.
"What is it Sweetheart?"
"Dare you go on any business trip from now on. And you were about to come back two days later no?" Anger took over a sobbing Anika. "How dare you lie to me?" There started her hits on his chest. "Do you have any idea how much I missed you? Subah se tumhari baate sunai de rahi thi. Arghhh... I cannot live without you, even for a day. I need you to breathe." She confessed honestly and truthfully, raising her hand to his cheek.
"I love you, crazy woman." Engulfing her in a hug, he kept whispering pacifying words to his wife who was faking anger, even he knew but nonetheless, he loved adoring her for her childish antics. Of course she wasnt going to forgive him so soon, he could laugh on how she goes on blabbering absolutely meaningless things yet which were the most previous words for him.
"Okay baba, I promise, no more out of India meetings and even if it is something I can't avoid, I will take you along." Finally coming up with the last way of assuring her, he got to see the beautiful smile of his wife again after a day, he could move earth and heaven for.

I started with the determination of writing only drabble but it exceeded the count of 100 words😭 So had to title as a one shot. God, I can never write drabbles for that matter.
