Thank you for any support! Honestly, it means so much that you guys love how I drew Ragini. This fanfic was actually inspired by my admiration for Additi Gupta who played Heer in Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil.

I've decided that there will be no jealous based on very good reasons. It's probably better if I don't turn this into a jealousy fic.

Samar's wife is very much alive in this fanfic. No sense of angst for him. I was going to write Samar as Annika's fiance but that seemed rather stupid with ViRa in the air. I don't know who would play the wife though, so that's on your imagination. Sorry~

Some lines were taken from a song called Didi Tera Jethji Deewane from IPK1's remix/parody for the song.

Note: No proofread or spell/grammar check.

Second Note: When Ragini perceives someone's emotions or thought process, they are dead-on accurate.

"Okay, so here is the plan." Shivaay started. I leaned closer in again for the umpteenth time. "When Annika tries to fight me, she responds with an equal blow. I used you to make her jealous, so now she's going to try and make me jealous."

"But how, her fiance doesn't exist?" I asked, honestly wondering if Annika was going to make a man appear out of thin air?

"That's the point. She'll find someone and we can catch her red-handed on her lie. Then one by one, we'll peel off the lies that I've been told, especially from that day." I saw a different shade in Shivaay, heard a different voice almost. It was beyond determination. This man had a vicious side to him too. I guess his lover can bring that out in him, not forgetting that this man used to be so apathetic to everything. I must say, I'm impressed. This wasn't the Shivaay that doubted his ex-wife.

"So you're sure?" I confirmed.

"Yes, I know my Annika. She'll respond that way for sure." Shivaay assured me with confidence.

As we discussed the plan, I looked at the time. I realized that it was past 10pm. I informed Shivaay that I was going home. He offered to drive me home instead of waiting for my driver, I thought that was very sweet of him. He must be thankful for my help. I knew Shivaay never really cared much about me in these past 3 months, he was very distant. The fact that he has decided to drop me home of his own free will was a sign of our friendship. We finally became good friends.

I came home, as I opened the door, I saw Dhara. She looked at me with her fake stern eyes, I bet she's going to talk about my "bedtime."

"Out past 10 with a boy, I see. Past bedtime, are we?" Dhara teased.

"Ugh, Bhabhi, please. Not you too. Samar is enough already. I made it clear when I said that Shivaay's just a friend." I closed the door, crossing my arms sooner after.

"Alright fine, since you already ate we sent JM back to his quarter." Dhara and I walked to the main hall. I saw Samar playing pool with himself. He looked at me with a cheeky grin, he stopped his game of pool to approach me. And here comes him saying he won't tease me but still teases me.

"Don't give me that look. I'm not teasing. But I'm glad to know that Shivaay Singh Oberoi dropped you home." Samar teased regardless of my glare.

"How did you-?" I started.

"I was informed that his car entered through our gate. You can't hide anything from me, Ragini." Samar mused, he pressed my shoulder lightly.

"Still, it's good to know you're home safe. Sorry I didn't send a car for you." Samar apologized.

"It's fine. It worked out." I shrugged. I leaned closer to him and covered my hand from Dhara, who seemed confused. "So do you want me to tell bhabhi about your little date with Annika or no?" I whispered. I finally had dirt on Samar to make him stop teasing me about my guy friends. I get they're excited about my love life, but this is ridiculous. I would rather not have another mom who keeps asking "What's his name? What's his sign? What does he do? When are you getting married?" and other questions in the same colour.

"Tell her, my wife loves me enough to trust that I'm not some back-stabber. My love for her is true and real." Samar whispered back in defiance to my blackmail.

"And what's going on?" Dhara crossed her arms, she raised an eyebrow at us. "What are the brother-sister duo up to?"

"Nothing!" Samar and I responded together, which only increased her suspicions.

Dhara raised an eyebrow at us. "You two, I swear.." Dhara huffed with her fake anger. She did her stomping walk away as she expressed a frustration.

I grinned cheekily at Samar as he looked extremely saddened. He followed Dhara like a lost puppy. "Dh-Dhara, Dhara!" Only you bhabhi, could reduce bhaiya to this. I shook my head with a giggle. I wonder if I'd find my guy. I want what Samar and Dhara have so badly. I remember when Samar verbally attacked a socialite because she insulted Dhara for her status. It was so pure. Right now I'm stuck between a cute divorced couple who clearly need to be put back together.

I went to my room. I retired for the night. I was too tired. Being a part-time detective was hard work. People should pay me for this. I can skip teaching and be a full-time detective solving people's love lives while being a single woman in a cruel world. Even though I couldn't follow through, I felt like that would have been excellent novel idea.

I woke up late next morning. Preparing for today's work load, I got ready. I went down to the dining hall as I starved for some breakfast. I found JM or Jay Mehta, our personal chef, making very delectable pancakes for everyone. JM knew my order so I didn't need to say anything. Samar and Dhara were already on the table being all flirty with their daily soap nok-jhok, Mom was there too. They all gave me a morning smile as I entered. I took a seat beside Dhara.

"Okay, forget that, you tell me. What's today's schedule? Can you make room for a date?" Dhara asked in her sweet voice.

"I'm sorry," Samar started regretfully. "I have a very important meeting today and we have to finalize the deal with Chauhan Group & Associates. But, tomorrow, my time is yours." Samar held Dhara's hands hoping to make her understand.

"Okay, but you have to promise!" Dhara demanded from him, pointing a finger.

"I promise!" Samar assured, cupping her face and placing a small kiss on her forehead.

"Hah, leave it. You say that all the time. Bhabhi, I'm telling you. Since Day 1, you've had a sautan. And she's Samar's business." I started, much to Dhara's amusement and Samar's shock.

Mom laughed, she had already heard my rambling on this when I complained to her before about Samar and his business. Even JM tried to hide a smile. "She's always taking his time from you to spend it with her. It would have been better if we had gotten him married to his business and he would have became the office's son-in-law." I laughed, much to Samar's annoyance.

"Why are you starting again?" Samar asked me as he complained about my jab at him and his business.

"Because I can." I concluded defiantly.

Dhara laughed with me, she gave me a high five which I happily accepted. I'm glad she wasn't hurt by my point. I think a part of her agrees with me. Samar and Businessji, as I called them, were inseparable.

Samar cocked an eyebrow up. He looked at his watch for the time. "You're still here? Don't you have to go to Oberoi Mansion?"

I gasped. "Are you implying I have nothing better to do than just visit Oberoi Mansion?" I said without thinking.

Dhara almost broke into tears from laughing.

"Oh, I'm sorry, so where are you going today?" Samar asked sarcastically, knowing the answer was going to be Oberoi Mansion. He tried to hide a smile, which irked me.

"I- I'll have you know that I'm going to spa appointment this afternoon." I lied, denying the truth.

"Oh okay, I hope you have fun with 'the spa'" Samar nodded, implying that the spa was actually Shivaay, who I was visiting this afternoon.

"You're impossible." I rolled my eyes, accepting defeat.

Having my breakfast, I headed off to Oberoi Mansion. I could hear a snicker with a high five as I left. DhaMar, I swear. Two peas in a pot.

As I reached Oberoi Mansion, I wondered about Shivaay's plan. I know I should have faith in him but it hinged on Annika being jealous enough to find some man to play her fiance. I didn't want to doubt him but it sounded far-fetched. I hoped he was right though, it may end up bringing Shivaay and Annika closer together a lot faster.

As I entered the seating area past the door, I got side stares. The only people who looked at me without a glare was Shivaay, Ponky, and Dadi. I sat beside Dadi for safety measures. She seemed to like me after she saw how I behaved with Ponky. I smiled lightly to her. I could see the usual gang wondering when Dadi was being nice to me.

Ponky moved beside Shivaay as she spoke. "Ragini, did you hears? Shivaay said that we're going to meet Annika's fiance. I'm so excited!" Ponky informed me. Ponky held onto Shivaay's arm. I felt him tense up. There was disgust in his eyes. I pleaded to god he would not start something here. I raised an eyebrow at Shivaay. He looked at me with hope for the plan. I sent my best wishes.

Curiously, I looked at the false bride-to-be, she didn't seem so thrilled. She tried to hide her nervousness. Her pokerface didn't fool me. I looked back to Shivaay and gave him a small nod. I think he understood Annika's reaction too.

"So, has he told you when he's coming? Your Vikram Aditya Thapar. You spoke so highly of him when you held his magazine. He's this and that and what not." I raised an eyebrow at Shivaay's taunt. So this meant that she did try to bring a man to pose as her fiance.

"He said he's coming, he didn't say a time. He'll be here, even if he's late." Annika replied, I couldn't tell if she was lying or not so I waited patiently. I tried not to speak. I probably wouldn't have made the situation better.

Moments of awkwardness passed. Ponky got tried of waiting so she left. Later, a man appeared from the door. He walked in quietly. He was tall man for sure, certainly taller than any man in the room. It was the Vikram Aditya Thapar, in the flesh.

I couldn't say I was the only one that was surprised. I believe Annika won Reaction of the Year with her surprise of seeing her fiance as if he had just come to life. This confirms that there truly is no fiance, and also that Annika did not call Vikram here. I heard whispering from Rudra to Omkara, with a worried Gauri next to them. I smirked at the worry.

I glanced towards Shivaay, who seemed to have a smile. You sly man. You called Vikram here, didn't you?

Shivaay approached Vikram. "Welcome, Vikram. This is your first time in Oberoi Mansion, please feel at home." Shivaay welcomed Vikram like an old friend. Vikram looked oddly at Shivaay's forwardness.

Vikram glanced toward Annika, I gauged their reaction to each other. I got the feeling they knew each other. They seemed to almost recognize each other. Vikram looked back to Shivaay, who seemed excited, all the while where Annika looked entirely away from this situation.

"So this is your fiance, huh? The Vikram Aditya Thapar. How nice." Shivaay gave a cheeky smile at Annika.

"Y-Yeah, so? I told you h-he would come. He's m-my fiance after all." Annika responded to Shivaay's taunt.

Shivaay and Annika started to clash with their wills. Their attention was undivided, I used the opportunity to try an inspect Vikram. I began to approach him. He seemed calm, the entire situation seemed very tensed but there wasn't much of a reaction. He hasn't denied the claim of being Annika's fiance which is not good.

As I analyzed the situation, I tripped over the rug. Before I could hit the ground, I was caught. Vikram held me in his arms. My world stopped for a moment. I became lost in his eyes. I don't know how much time passed as we stared into each other. I don't know what is happening to me. I just know that I feel safe in his arms. I heard someone clear their throat.

Vikram put me back on my feet. "Are you okay?" He asked with concern as his hand was on my shoulder.

I straightened my dress as I looked up at Vikram. "I'm fine, thank you." I nodded in confirmation.

My attention turned to Shivaay, who raised an eyebrow at us. Everyone was staring at Vikram and I. Annika and Gauri laughed to each other silently.

"That was an eyelock, wasn't it?" Rudra whispered to Omkara, beside him. "This is what happened with you and Chulbul-bhabhi."

"I know." Omkara replied with a whisper. "What kind of twist in the story is this?"

"Why is your girlfriend in someone else's arms?" Annika retorted at Shivaay.

"Why is your fiance holding someone else in his arms?" Shivaay stressed back at Annika. They seemed to be clashing again. I don't understand this couple sometimes. I looked at Vikram's hand.

Vikram has no ring in his finger.

I smirked openly, I turned my attention back to the bickering couple. "Well Annika, I must say that you have such an interesting fiance. I mean, here you are calling Mr. Thapar your fiance, and he is without a ring on his finger." I emphasized Vikram's hand by holding it up. My sarcasm knew no bounds. Shivaay grinned at me with pride. Annika was trying to say something.

I think my favourite thing was Omkara, Rudra and Gauri's smile at the truth. Perhaps they're proud of my observation, well I hope they are.

Vikram pulled his hand away from me. "No, I mean, I'm sorry. I think it must have slipped out of my finger. It must have been loose." Vikram defended himself.

Shivaay, Annika and I looked at Vikram with shock. Is Vikram actually playing along?! No! That's not good. He's definitely not Annika's fiance but why is he helping her cover the lie? Is it because they know each other? What is his and Annika's relationship?

Shivaay seemed to be the first one that recovered. "Whatever the case may be, this doesn't change the fact that Annika is wearing our engagement ring still." Shivaay grabbed Annika's arm to show us. I smirked at that. A part of me wanted to say aww but I let it slide because this wasn't the time. Still, the idea that Annika wore that ring for the time they were separated means she was attached to him. To anything that represents their love.

"No, no, that's not your ring." Annika started weakly, denying the claim.

"Really?" Shivaay raised an eyebrow as he crossed his arms to listen to this new web of lies.

"Yeah, what else?" Annika followed suit as she crossed her arms. The couple began staring each other down. They were starting to bicker again. At this point, I just feel tired. Why does Annika have to be so stubborn? We already caught her red-handed. The point of this was to slowly make Annika reveal the truth, and that had to start with her latest lie of having a fiance. I still don't even fully understand why she lied in the first place, was she trying to make him jealous? This is all too counterintuitive.

As Shivaay and Annika were bickering, I picked up a magazine as I walked to the bickering couple. "Shut up, shut up, shut up, SHUT UP!" I yelled at them with a frustration, as the magazine I had grabbed started hitting the couple with each shut up that left my mouth.

"That's my magazine.." Vikram pointed out to me, my attention shifted to his crumpled face on the magazine.

I faced Vikram, "Not now." I pointed at him with attitude as I was dealing with one problem already. His hands were arrest in the air at my order.

I turned back to Shivaay and Annika. "My dear God, will you two stop fighting already! I'm here trying to fix you two idiots back together and you guys are making this worse. Do you think I'm doing this to pass time? Annika, Shivaay and I know you don't have any fiance. We know the truth, so start speaking.. Please." I pleaded to Annika as I became the centre of attention. I admit that I didn't want to hit Shivika this way, but I seriously couldn't watch this get any worse. We are not about to pretend that we are in a serious relationship because the truth is going to hurt. I certainly don't want to be played around with here.

"The truth?" Annika faltered for a moment, stepping back. She looked to Shivaay, who nodded. "W-What t-truth? Which truth? This is the truth. You guys are just saying anything." Annika stammered as she tried to lie. I think I understand why she is lying. It must have to do with exposing Pinky to Shivaay. It would hurt to know your mother could do that, I think Annika would want to protect him. Clearly there was something in the blackmail that she doesn't want to reveal, but the truth could never remain hidden.

"Ragini and I found out, that Ma had something to do with you leaving the house. Tell me, what did she say? Why did you break us?" Shivaay held Annika's hands, he caressed them lightly, looking her in the eye with a yearning that intensified with every second in small fractions. When Annika wasn't responding, Shivaay spoke again. "She didn't use Sahil, did she...?" Shivaay croaked with a shivered worry.

"No, no no. It's nothing like that, Shivaay. I- It's just..." Annika held onto Shivaay's arms.

"Say it, Anni. Please, just say it." Shivaay cupped Annika's face.

"Pinky Aunty said that you're illegitimate. And if I don't leave the house, she'll tell you the truth. That you're not her child, but Shakti Uncle and Kamini Aunty's child, and that Mahi is your twin brother." Annika choked, tears filled her eyes as she stopped making eye contact. I personally felt sick just hearing that. I could only imagine Shivaay's despair

"That's not more important than you." Shivaay declared.

"But Shivaay, how-" Annika hesitated.

"Annika, in these three months, I've died every single day without you. Every corner of this house reminded me of you. Your smile, your eyes, your smell... Just.. Everything about you." Shivaay confessed. "Without you, I felt empty. The pain I felt, it made me numb. I just stopped caring. I became a living corpse. This is nothing in comparison to that. It's not. It's just not, Annika." Shivaay snuggled into a hug as held onto her, crooning his head into her neck. Tears were forming into his eyes.

Annika embraced him. She began to sob with him. "I'm sorry, Shivaay. I'm sorry. I was stupid. I should have trusted you. I should have trusted our relationship. I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry too, Annika. Sorry, for everything. I didn't believe you when you tried to tell me the truth. I hurt you for saying anything against my mother." Shivaay sobbed as he held Annika in his arms. "I didn't turn around to ask you why, or try to find out why you told the media Om's birth secret. I just, I-"

Annika stopped him. "You don't need to say anything. I know. Somewhere along the line, that isn't even your fault entirely."

"I told you, didn't I? No matter what comes our way, whatever it may be, we will face it together. Because we understand each other." Shivaay assured Annika.

Annika nodded crying. "And if we're together, nothing can stop us." She wept with a confidence that left her voice.

"Any doubts?" Shivaay cocked a teary half-smile.

Annika had a small chuckle at that. "Nope."

Shivaay and Annika embraced each other once more as the fell to their knees in their hug. "You know, I'm not letting you go anywhere this time."

"I won't try to leave either. Never again."

I had tears in my eyes at the reunion. I cursed myself for rubbing my eyes and smudging my make-up. I felt proud of myself. Shivaay and Annika were reunited. I feel at peace knowing that I could do even one thing for a good friend, by bringing back his happiness back.

After sometime, Shivaay and Annika had finally gotten up and straighten themselves. I took it upon myself to try to lighten the mood.

"Alright, alright. Enough rona-dhona. Just kiss and make-up for anything you're holding against each other and forget the pain of the past." I clasped my hands together, ordering the couple for some due romance.

"I like that idea. Shall we, Annika?" Shivaay teased the poor girl.

"I see that Challu Cheez Singh Oberoi didn't take long to come back." Annika crossed her arms with a witty attitude.

"Only for you." Shivaay shrugged as he held Annika hips.

"Shivaay, everyone's watching, please." Annika begged flustered.

I smiled to myself, it felt like it was time to go. My job was here was pretty much done as the part-time detective I am. I stared awkwardly at the romancing couple for a moment as I had to interrupt them.

"Congratulations, Shivaay. You got your Annika back." I teased.

"All thanks to you. Thank you, Ragini, for reuniting me with Annika." Shivaay let go of Annika to address me.

"Anytime. It was a pleasure working with you, Watson." I curtsied sincerely.

"As it was with you, Sherlock." Shivaay pretended to tip his hat.

"Watson? Sherlock?" Annika questioned.

"Long story." Shivaay and I explained.

A few seconds later, Annika stammered for moment. "And sorry, for how we treated you."

I smiled joyfully knowing this day would come. "I forgive you, but only if you let me stay friends with Shivaay."

Annika nodded. "Of course."

"Well, I guess I'll be going now, bye!" I waved as they sent me off. I stopped for a moment before walking away. I faced Vikram. "It was nice meeting you, Mr. Vikram Aditya Thapar."

"As it was you, Ms. Ragini Malhotra." Vikram nodded.

I walked away. I got the feeling I would meet him again. Perhaps if fate would have it so. A part of me hopes so. To be honest, I am not quite sure what's going to happen to Ponky. I'm sure Shivaay will probably being her sins to her face one way or the other. Not sure how, but it might not be my place to find out. I hope the best for you, Shivaay, Annika. Having said that, I hope they are inviting me to the Grand #ShivikaDiShaadi.
