It's been almost close to three weeks since the release, but there's no stopping Bareilly Ki Barfi. The Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari directorial, for its quirky content and realistic appeal, has been a great hit with families. The film, on its 18th day, touched a collection sum of Rs 29.88 crore.
On its third Friday, the film minted Rs 40lakh at the domestic ticket window, while on successive Saturday and Sunday, it bagged Rs 1 crore and Rs 1.1 crore respectively. Its third Monday collection stood tall at Rs 36 lakh, mounting the collection to a total of Rs 29.88 crore.

The film stars Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao, who entered the skin of their characters with great ease. Bareilly Ki Barfi revolves around Kriti's character Bitti, who is a strong-headed, independent, fun-loving girl, who loves to break dance. The bitter-yet-mostly-sweet love triangle, which is based in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly district, between the lead stars, ends in funny circumstances.
The actress has also received a hand written note as a token of appreciation from Bollywood's megastar Amitabh Bachchan for his superior performance in Bareilly Ki Barfi.
The film released on August 18.
